i only let the manhwa marinate till they reach their endings. only then can i read them. but i'm not talking about personal preference.
it's literally the only way i can remember the plot and the details (well, most of them at least)
because a single chapter or a three chapter update every week is still not going to be enough for me to keep up with the plot.
and you guys are achieving this with several titles! several! Σ( ̄□ ̄||)

Hey guuuuys, it's me… agaiiin, with another thought that I feel like I wanna get out there. Also, I wanna note that it's not just Lesbian or, well, yuri manga, but also Gay ones too that unfortunately fall under this. Now, this isn't a new thought; this has come back to me a lot. Unfortunately.
Throughout my years of searching and exploring far and wide for good lesbian, sapphic comics (including gay ones), I always seem to find something interesting or that feels like it's gonna be a nice read. Then, halfway through, I get hit with one of the leads going after their sibling or vice versa. Like, come on now, what... what the fuck? Why was this needed, and why was this even allowed in the first place? Also, what does it gotta do with the story? Is it important? Is this a life lesson for the characters and the reader to learn from? (likely not) Is this a warning for the reader or the characters to be aware of?
I'm not talking about like maybe a character has a tragic past with incest of any kind being involved, and how it affected her or his experience with how they deal with love, life, perspective of reality, or whatever. It's literally thrown in there as like a plot device in the middle of a story with lackluster research behind it or the author's secret-not-so-secret fetish, sometimes both. I know it's not just in LGBTQ manga and manhwa; it's also seen in other comic genres. It's, not gonna lie, a problem because most of the time it's fetish material and not talking about the harms of it. I see it a lot with the Lesbian, Gay, whatever Yuri/Yoai like A LOT, and I personally hate how it's been popping up more. Like, it's not only comics; it's in other media too (that one foreign show or movie I saw an ad for like 7 years ago about a guy who was in love with his male cousin, on YouTube, like...what the fuck??) like what's up with that?
I don't think this is a question anymore, more like a rant, but like I still feel like it's an important thing to notice and ask: why is fetishized incest in queer media or media at all? Really makes me sick, man. I'm just pissed off.

Y'all can tell me repetitive overused tropes too! Because I'm too tired to read ass writing over and over again lmfao
What never sat right through me is how ANY Historical genre manwhas often use Medieval-Europe or Joseon periods in choosing their timelines and the cultural presence isn't even there(most of the time lol). So is it alright to use informal language Infront of a royal with full of high ranking aristocrats? Is it alright to wear a simple maid wear looking outfits and being a Duke's daughter? To mention that author may simply forget how to research accurate historical norms... Fan languages, etiquette, mannerisms etc. that's a standard in writing good stories.
And notice how plots are repetitive, overused and is predictable??
- Lotus innocent MC who absolutely cannot do anything wrong
- Reincarnated not actually a villainess business
- runaway after spending the night of the ML who's a yandere btw (high risk of pregnancy)
- overcomplicated angst over some simple misunderstanding and refusing to communicate
- love triangles that usually end up in a poly relationship
- OP FMLs which everything goes smoothly in their way without any obstacles for their revenge reincarnation
- BABY reincarnation tropes which gives me the ick most... You're a grown ass 27 year old Korean woman that died from (overwork, rammed by a truck/car or killed by a jealous co-worker) and taking interest on some over a KID prodigy mage?? Helps the duke dad with their illness, usually reveals their high intelligence at the age of 2 and is also fluent and eloquent on speaking.
- TRASH DUKE OF THE NORTH
I can pile up more but just thinking about it makes me boil in rage.
