I tend to live in my fantasy world of animes and mangas, and then when my reality comes crashing down around me, it's super depressing. Like why, just why, can't I meet these wonderful people in real life instead of just on pages or screens? Life sucks major balls, tbh ╥﹏╥
I love Harada. Especially yatamomo. my parents were abusive and momo's story, and the sympathetic but realistic way he was portrayed (as a survivor whose coping mechanisms brought shame and isolation)--that resonated me.
I've read and enjoyed all of Harada's (translated) work but I understand choosing to avoid certain stories. Nii-chan was particul...... 1 reply

I let the characters be what they are without judging or making allowances. and I like reading about pretty messed up or terrible characters, who I accept are terrible, so I don't feel the need to defend them.
it's different with real people of course. i draw a heavy line between fiction and reality.

DATING IS EXHAUSTING. PEOPLE ARE EXHAUSTING. media makes love sound great, but what I hear firsthand from friends and acquaintances in relationships is that it's pretty tiring. I'm not saying I won't date, just that I'd have to like someone pretty damn much 1 reply
Live and learn about yourself first, then different life experiences. Date and get to know someone fully before rushing the situation. Even if it seems like everyone is in love except you WAIT. When the times comes to fall or be in love you'll hopefully be emotionally read and prepared. reply

Rushing to fall in love isn't possible (It happens naturally) and just sounds like a terrible idea in general, especially if you're still in school. The best advice, I would say is, screw finding love, look for momey, love gets you nothing in life and does nothing for you. You can't go up to your landlord and say "sorry I can't pay my rent this week but my boyfriend is really swell" and have things turn out well. reply
'Things' are your daily life experiences by which you get to know the world around you. Tell others about the things you did, may it be cool, sad, crazy or funny. You can also find things that you might want to do and a friend to do it with!
