A fun detective X criminal story with interesting characters and good pacing. I like that, in the end, the detective pushes the criminal to clean up his act and find a regular job...
A very refreshing though heart wrenching take on second chances and re-doing life. It does some over-reaching, almost a Deus ex Machina, to force a happy ending but by that point you'll be so invested in the happiness of the MCs that you wouldn't care how fantastic the method is as long as our MCs could live happily ever after.
While the theme of two-sided (but perceived to be unrequited) love between childhood friends is cliched and over-used, in this manga, it is exceedingly well done. The atmosphere of the small town, the insecurities of the 2 MCs and the intensity of their interactions are amazing. Brilliantly done story and beautiful art.
Story of 2 Kabuki dancers who are contemporaries, competitors and co-actors... their relationship on stage and off stage... Fun characters, good pacing and an introduction to the world of Kabuki...
This one is a classic. One of the earliest seke pairs and a relationship that's pretty much relationship goals. It's neither too deep nor too flippant. Just perfect for flipping pages without getting too attached. It will neither make you think too hard nor would it give you a headache with illogical, dumb cliches.
Amazing art and very realistic story set in Germany. Wil and Paul are attracted to each other from the moment they meet but they both have strong personalities that make it hard for anyone to stay close to them. There's a lot of personal demons to slay before they can find a way to be together for more than a day at a time. The pencil art is mind blowing.. Would suggest that you read it on webtoon or tapas for free, if you want to interact with and support the creator.
Yori, an idol, has been in an unrequited love for his former manager, Haruto, for a long time. Though he harbors no hopes, Yori kisses Haruto out of desperation and the response he receives tells him all he needs to know about how the other person feels about him. This is where the story turns sharply away from cliches. Once he smells hope, Yori doesn't resort to unnecessary drama. Instead he works diligently towards shining so bright that Haruto will be hard-pressed to hide his feelings.
Absolutely amazing! Oz is a washed up ballet dancer who moved to a small town after failing to make it to Broadway. While living in the store where he works as a waiter and selling himself on the side, he meets Theo, a 20 year old Amish youth who walks into the store to try alcohol.
A beautiful story where every character is fleshed out. There's a complexity to all the characters and the setting is absolutely beautiful and all of that is enhanced by the beautiful art.
One of the nicest stories I've ever read. It really shows how people are shaped by their surroundings. All 3 main characters (4?) are such awesome people who continue to be good humans despite harsh circumstances.Their relationship with each other is so beautiful and precious even when it doesn't work out.
I especially loved and cried for Yoo Won's situation because of just how fragile and precarious it is. He hardly has anything that the smallest mistake can destroy his whole li
Beautifully depicted story of Michitada and Tachibana who care deeply about one another but keep missing each other due to fear of society and other external circumstances. First Michitada runs away abroad for years when he sees Tachibana with a girl, not realizing why he hates it. When they meet again, he realizes that Tachabina has cherished the marbles he left behind among the debri of the ramune he bought in their last encounter and just as he realizes his feelings, they are separated again.
