What I liked most is the different points of view the mangaka brings up. I like the point of view that Niimura brings to the discussions. There's a beautiful undercurrent in the novel of showing how it's important to view things from a balanced perspective and understand that what's right and what's wrong are not always black and white and it's important to accept that different people have different perspective and we don't all have to agree to be able to get along.
Exceptionally well done. This is quite a long story but it is an interesting read with feuds, intrigues, 2 lead characters who are always at cross purposes, and a window into a bygone era. The attention paid to the supporting cast brings the characters to life and makes the story vibrant. The art is beautiful to boot.
The story does lag in places and some of the plot points are a little far fetched, like the way Katsuragi resolved Souchirou's love troubles. Still, a great read.
This one is not perfect... It does have some loopholes, and shows that it is the author's first work.... But the concept is quite fresh and the characters are awesome... and the tension is real... Until the very end, things were precariously off balance and there was a real chance that everything could go very very wrong.....
Beautifully done... Shows the author has real talent....
A very different manga that gives edge of the seat entertainment.
Warning: superstition, horror, psychological
This is so beautifully written. Absolutely amazing story of coming to terms with new feelings as adolescents.
Kazu and Moto are childhood friends. A flippant statement from a friend makes Kazu realize that his like for Moto extends beyond friendship. He desperately tries to get over it but ends up hurting Moto because of his jealousy and puts their friendship in danger. The way they understand each other and communicate with each other is so beautiful. The emotions and doubts are well captured.
Very well written story of an adolescent boy coming to terms with his sexuality. Very well written and stays true to life. Definitely a good read.
Cute story.... The brother is the MVP...
The story of a navy officer, Tezuka, who gets into a war of words with his brother's teacher over his brother helping his friend run away with a Geisha. When sensei goes to pay off the loan that the Geisha left behind, he finds that Tezuka has already paid it off. Tezuka leaves on a voyage soon after. But out of sight is not out of mind for these two.... Thus starts...
How do you take a story about death and moving on and make it upbeat and uplifting? This manga does that.
Hide, a bright teen full of life is struck down by lightning. The only person who can see his ghost is his classmate Yuugen, who lives like a ghost. Hide assumes he is not able to move on because of his regrets and enlists Yuugen's help to get through them.
I've read the novel and it's deliciously heart breaking with a HE. The manga seems to be true to the novel and the art is pretty. So adding it in here though there aren't many chapters out yet.
Adapted from a very well-written novel with beautiful art - Jang Jaeyoung, a design student and Chu Sangwoo, a computer science student are opposites that had only 1 thing in common - they attended the same mandatory course and were assigned to the same group project. It ended with Jaeyoung failing the subject, having to stay back for another semester and missing his opportunity to study abroad. He starts off blaming Sangwoo and sets out to take revenge in a very unique way...
Very well written manga. There are a few plot points that are not very fleshed out and some that don't make sense. But overall it's really well done in terms of capturing the emotions and struggles of the 2 main characters. Their characters are well captured and stay consistent throughout the story.
