I recently read the whole novel. I must say the bottom deserves everything happening to him. Many will disagree. But a rapist's deserved punishment is rape. He not only raped the top when he was a MINOR but also several girls. He ALSO let his friends join him and gang-rape the victims including the top. He also send the rape tape to the top's mother which made her hospitalized. And the top genuinely just had pure crush on the bottom. But the bottom was a spineless bitch, feared being out as gay invited his friends and raped him. Both deserve each other. Their match was made in hell. But I side with the top. If this manhwa started with the pov of the top. Nobody would pity the bottom.

I get what you're saying but rape is not a form of revenge
Even if the victim is someone who has done bad stuff to you or even worst, you should NOT rape someone as revenge cause you'd end up no better.

i read the novel as well and completely agree w you. ppl are so overly woke. this is meant to be a nuanced story with a morally complex and ambiguous narrative. its not about "who ends up being the better person"- we're far past that.

yeah, and now they’re entangled, and the cycle keeps on. It’s a personal choice I think. In my opinion, it’s the worst to keep getting entangled with the person who did all that to you (I’m referring to top being raped) - just seeing the face of the person would contort my soul, and living the rest of your days seeing the person and feeling like that would be the worst. If revenge must be had, did top really have to keep sleeping with him? If I were in his shoes, that would be too disgusting for me. So my interpretation is that, top is also pretty obsessed with bottom. Won’t argue that bottom deserved the karma. But also I’m not a proponent of the route top chose to traverse.

I don’t like that top had to turn into the kind of person he is now because of bottom, and I may disagree with his choice and method, but it must have been really really difficult to go through what he did - in that state, where you endure what cannot be endured, I can understand why the hatred might have consumed him and driven him to this path, and in retrospect, I cannot blame him. I just find it sad in the end that he had to resort to this because of the suffering inflicted on him. Now he’s done what shouldn’t have been done - crossed the line to monstrosity as bottom had.

I haven't read it but I've seen so many spoilers and I completely agree with you, it's actually beyond me how so many people sympathise with jiwook... Juyeon was just a kid :(

As a person who went through something similar and a littlebit more, I literally would do the same, I wouldn’t be able to have sex just for revenge with the rapist, but I would make him suffer. I do have a tiny bad feeling at the moment for Jiwook, but because on the fact, how a person can break and lose himself, not actually for him, but for that feeling you died inside and you barely can see or feel things right, you fear every sound and touch, and you afraid from the tomorrow what will come, not knowing what you’d prefer more, living or never waking up again.

What is nuanced and morally complex about a revenge porn story? Let's not just glaze everything and anything now

Buddy even a 13 years old can write a rape victim getting revenge by rapping the rapist plot let's not kid ourselves
I think you have the mental capacity of a 13 years old to think this is nuanced morally complex actually

u cant even spell raping right, who are you to tell me i have the mental capacity of a 13 yro youre reducing the story to its premise instead of engaging with how its written- like yea revenge rape plot by itself isnt morally complex this story is different because it deliberately refuses to give the audience a clean moral answer. it explores trauma, justice, revenge, guilt, empathy, and the cycle of violence without presenting anyone as purely "right or wrong" and thats exactly what makes it nuanced and morally ambiguous and complex and the fact that youre dismissing that says more about YOUR mental capacity rather than mine.

The cycle ends with them in this case tho and he didnt cross the same line. Raping an innocent kid and raping your rapist is not remotely the same. A reaction is not the same as an action.

You all on sum Batman logic for keeping Coringa alive lol.

Yeah I spelled it wrong cause English is my 3rd language but what do I expected from a typical American when your country only have 20% of mfk who speaks another language and only 79% literacy rate lmao. I don't need the story to give the me a clean moral answer buddy, but maybe you needed it cause you're STUPID af. Every 2rd rated action Hollywood movies already explored the cycle of vengeance and violence and the audience already got tired of how repetitive it is.
Just admit you have an underdeveloped brain and that's why you're easily impressed with anything
