The kid that was getting abused with jingi kind of looks like myeongil. I wonder if that has a bit to do with jingi's feelings for him or why he won't kiss.
Don't kill me but that was such a nothingburger chapter. I kinda dislike how it switches back and forth between the prison and Heonjae, especially since nothing's really going on with his story currently. We've been at that park for chapters now, and we didn't even get anything from his conversation with the noona except that he still hates jingi (quick everybody act surprised!). If anything I'm pissed that he's still so closed off, how could he even imagine living a life with myeongil if he chases away someone who's actually trying to help him. He says he's going to do what he can for the kids, but damn he's done nothing but sit in that park and myunghoon's even the one feeding him. I get that Igingogi's developing the bond between the kids and Heonjae, but I wish they'd sactually do something instead of just sitting around. I feel like she prematurely introduced the Heonjae x outside world storyline, and now she has to stall it because she's still developing Jingi and Myeongil before he gets released from prison. In a way, this back and forth compromises Jingi and Myeong-il's development cause moments such as them having a real consensual sex for the first time gets cut off. I've been meaning to say this, but these last few chapters could've been structured so much better. Everything we've seen from the outside world could've been a single or maybe two consecutive chapters. Like I promise, people are still gonna tune in if we don't see either of the trio for a while.
I know it's selfish to say this, but I honestly wish the season would end so Igingogi could finally get some rest. It's evident from both the art and the way the story is being directed that she's exhausted. The pacing and overall execution just don't feel like the Slammer Dogs we were reading a few months. I feel awful for getting frustrated when it's so obvious she's been pushing herself to the limit.

Nah your points are valid. The POV cutting back and forth does diminish the momentum of the Jingi/Myeongil moments, and I also agree that the Heonjae check-in should've been self-contained in its own chapter. Though I have a feeling the author is just racing towards the the end of the season and wants to condense all the story beats as much as possible, which unfortunately affects the pacing of character/relationship development.
I do hope there's still more intimate Jingi/Myeongil next chapter though and it's not a time skip to the next day. We got all this emotional build up and foreplay only to get a few panels of riding and still no kiss after all the teasing? Maybe asking for some pillowtalk is too much from a prison BL idk
Yes Igingogi desperately needs a long break after this season. In addition to S2 they also worked on merch that just released in Japan which could explain the quality issues we've been seeing in some of the chapters.
Side note: after seeing the Japan merch I'm now convinced this story is gonna end in a 3-way. It's obvious that Igingogi is trying to balance both brothers in merch and the Heonjae/Myeongil photocard with Jingi in the background mirrors the university one that has Jingi/Myeongil with Heonjae in the background. I guess we'll see how they steer this into a non-conflicting poly in S3.
I physically roll my eyes every time the pov shifts to the outside world. I wouldn't mind if there was something meaningful happening but there was barely anything to progress the story at all. I think you may be right about the merch production affecting the quality of the recent chapters, bless her. The merch always hits though, even the last one.
On that note about the poly ending, deep within me I've always known that that is how it's gonna go cause it just makes so much sense for a prison BL, but there's so much development that needs to happen for that to work out. The 3p worked out in the beginning because feelings weren't involved, but now, I can hardly imagine Heonjae being fine with seeing Jingi and Myeongil together without him plotting another murder. Did you see how much he scowled at the mention of his brother, that's a youngest sibling right there lol
im still gonna root for the smallest chance of Jingi and Myeongil becoming exclusive with each other, not my fault they have so much more chemistry compared to the other ship.

For sure, the outside stuff could've been condensed to a single chapter or even half a chapter, it really did drag on. All the story beats were there to keep it short and continuous but I feel like Igingogi has such a strong Heonjae bias that they can't help but squeeze him into the nearly every chapter whether it's from POV changes, Myeongil imagining him, or Myeongil using him to trigger Jingi. For all the chemistry Jingi/Myeongil have I feel like I'm being forcefed these Heonjae bits as a reminder that I can't be secure in thinking Myeongil will pick only one brother :(
I don't /hate/ Heonjae, but he's not my type for an ML and I think Jingi's chemistry with Myeongil feels more natural and better developed. Heonjae dumped his feelings on Myeongil super early and their chemistry feels forced, like Myeongil feels pressured to reciprocate his feelings so he tries to drip-feed platonic affection without committing to anything more.
Ultimately I'm rooting for Jingi/Myeongil til the end too, but realistically I need to steel myself for a potential poly endgame. Honestly I hate love triangles and try to avoid stories with them but this one's an exception because the story and characters are just too compelling. At least I'm glad we're not devolving into a Wet Sand level of triangle chaos because woof, the drama there totally turned me off from picking it up.
I think it's more of a emotional investment issue for him. To Jingi a kiss probably holds a lot of emotional significance and crosses a line that he's not ready for yet, especially if it's means putting that person into the crossfire of his revenge plans. He's currently in the phase of processing his feelings for Myeongil and subconsciously wants more from him (as we see when he's drunk), but knows that if he falls even harder Myeongil could end up being targeted by his uncle. Kissing would definitely tip the scales within his heart so he intentionally blocks those kisses even though deep down he really wants it.

Yeah i def think thats the main reason too. I just was wondering why that other kid was getting some focus too. Jinji is so mysterious and I there are still things we dont know about him. I do love how myoengil's earnest nature gets him to open up though.
You know what? It would be crazy if they brought back the other kid (who would be around Jingi's age now) as a plot device to also help take down the uncle! That would be wild
Continuing where we left off from 93...
Myeongil takes initiative and climbs on top of Jingi, ready to ride him. Jingi is dumbstruck as Myeongil takes him in. They're facing each other and Myeongil tries to ride him despite being really tight. Jingi eventually puts his fingers back into Myeongil's mouth (which ig is like kissing him?) and pushes in completely, and then Myeongil cums right away with Jingi immediately after. Afterwards Jingi holds Myeongil tightly, trying to hide his blushing and how flustered he is.
And before we can see the continuation or afterglow of their sex we cut back to Heonjae. Jingi's noona (blind lady) talks to Heonjae and invites him to stay with her. Heonjae declines her offer and says that he doesn't want to be involved with anyone who's involved with Jingi. He says he'll continue waiting for Myeongil. When noona asks if she can do anything for him he looks at the little brother and is reminded of the upcoming parents' day at school. Chapter ends with noona leaving and the siblings staying with Heonjae.

I wanted to see more Jingi/Myeongil especially if this was gonna be their last time fucking, but I know the author is trying to balance both POVs so maybe we'll cut back to them again next chapter.
I'll be honest, I was initially icked out by the idea of Heonjae being with the siblings, but you can tell he's sort of developing an 'older brother' bond with the lil bro and potentially going to interact with the noona more so I'm hoping this newfound family dynamic heals him and dampens his obsession with Myeongil.
Ahhhh I'm not ready to see this season end!
