The reason we're hard on Jinwoo is because his actions is not only gonna affect him, but the whole town of other people as well.

Because remember these things: They have explicitly stated that the Hounds are very important to the town because they're the ones who always go out on those dangerous missions outside to gather important supplies for the town. Now those Hounds do those things because of Guwon alone, not because they want to help the town. None of those townspeople are as strong or as skilled or as experienced as those Hounds. Now what now? Guwon is dying, there's no one to control the Hounds who are angry right now.

So these townspeople who have nearly zero combat experience are now up against the zombies, the Hounds, and other raiders.

Is it truly being “hard” on him or are we just being realistic, granted the situation everyone is in. I completely understand why Jinwoo would feel some type of way about his father being killed by Guwon and how hard it must’ve been for him. But now… he’s just put everyone in an even worse situation by going along with this plan. One issue has just become an EVEN bigger one..

Still, having a bunch of psychopath who enjoy hurting people having all the power and essentially acting however they like isn't a feasible way to survive long term. Especially if they answer to a single person who is very mortal.

The doctor is the perfect example he "chose" to survive, but then got killed anyway not because he was greedy or violent toward the community, but simply because he thought that what Guwon and the hounds were doing isn't human. What's the point of living in a human encampment if you are constantly beaten, insulted, forced, humiliated by those who have the weapons? And for what? A meal, a roof and life full of grief surrounded by people you barely know.

We can argue that having a roof and a meal is relatively better than having nothing, yet many of the town people were already surving on their own somehow. Obviously not as "easy" in terms of labour as the village, but still one surrounded by your loved ones. Despite everything Jinwoo was still living with his father until Guwon arrived and in order: killed his father without any reason; almost killed and kidnapped Jinwoo.

Plus the whole thing about, "you would't have survived without me" is just plain wrong. Unless Guwon saved someone from certain death (like a wound or an accident or even a zombie attack) there is no guarantee that those people wouldn't have survived. The only certainty we have is that no one survives Guwon unless proven useful. This means that the only real threat with an absolute degree of mortality the town people had to face before joining the village was Guwon himself. The logic of having to be grateful to to the killer of your family for sparing yourself is faulty.

One cannot create the issue and then expect to be praised for solving it (in this case the issue is kidnapping and exploiting the trauma of losing their loved ones people

...you need for your own project and the solution being keeping these people alive, again for your own personal gain).
