The WAY I don’t even want any “romance” or attraction happening in this arc. I really wanted to see more of juhyeok build up his skills and confidence while showing his passion. I want to see him build rival friendships and maybe meet an omega who relates or feels inspired by him. Especially since we got a build up to this trip being important to mc. It’s a shame. I was excited to see just juhyeok during this section and more on his past experiences.
I already don’t like this old man for his past sexual assault. But seriously what is the point of him being here. It’s unnecessary because juhyeok is thriving fine without him with skill alone. Plus him flirting and grabbing onto juhyeok like that is bothersome. I don’t care for any “gentleman” act he is going to put on and seeing people thirst over that.
More chapters and the mc dating around could have made a difference. Liked the ml cried and begged but it was necessary to see that more lol. Maybe a few more dates where he asks for forgiveness and dotes on the mc to feel that devotion more?
I have read bls where the ml was a player but fell for the mc harder and was surprised by it written better. I guess because we didn’t have the ml’s perspective more in this one? I don’t know
The biting smut was fun though
Just like how we have been following Juhyeok struggles in accepting his omega gender because he has been raised to be an Alpha. I imagine Su-ah to be similar because he was expected to be seen an omega. He is only fine enough to be an Alpha because he can be in a mate pair with Juhyeok. But I would imagine that type of expectation being forced on him along with his looks being scrutinized left a scar on him.
Them not entirely feeling comfortable or secure in their second gender definitely resulted them harming each other emotionally and physically. They care about each other but they have so many identity issues that they try to either shove away or do too much as if they have prove themselves worthy of something. Hopefully we see them helping each other more and more through this mess they try to understand in!
I enjoy slow burns where the childhood friends are teetering from not wanting to “destroy” what they have but can’t help wanting more. I feel like yeah it makes sense for two people to know each other for so long but struggle with making the relationship different from the norm.
I personally don’t want them to get together now with the alpha having so much trauma because he will end up hurting himself and the mc if he just shoves it down. Glad the horrible dad is dead but damn that means he won’t face his crimes or the alpha can’t get closure in some way. I would like the mc to have a step back and not feel so pulled down in this fake relationship. They only have a “relationship” because they know it’s different now with him confessing but also don’t want to selfishly loose it.
I do like him being an omega is essentially a wake up call to them because 7 years nothing has happened, despite them wanting each other, and his body decided alright bet lets make something happen lol
Yes I understand the annoyance in the main couple and even particularly more towards the alpha. But are we really downplaying or ignoring the sexual assault the alpha experienced as a kid?? You can see he was tied to the chair, I can only imagine how long he had to endure such scenes of his father. Of course he is going to be greatly repulsed and is not normal about relationships. He is jaded by all the vulgarity he is forced to put up with. Even in his adulthood.
However, his fondness in the childhood friendship he has with mc is what keeps him wanting to stay by his side despite the trauma. He always pampering the mc and being overprotective whether or not he realizes it. He obviously is in love with the mc and attracted to him but he feels great shame and fear. I do want him to chase mc though after he turned into an omega because I would feel so bad that the mc put up with so much heartbreak just for it to be “fixed” quickly. It’s obvious they love each other so I’m all for the messy ride when they finally get there.
I get the blackmail leaves a bad taste but him apologizing and admitting that he was just selfishly grasping to be with the usaka. Plus you can see he learned to not allow selfish thoughts cage in usaka right after. If anything he was really happy seeing usaka being more comfortable in his own skin. Moyashi did a fucked up thing, apologized/redeemed himself, and held onto those lessons he learned. Though this is me only accepting this circumstance in fiction lol. Outlandish behavior but used to it.
Like this man is mentally ill for a reason, so the backstory does not surprise me and I feel bad for him. To an extent. It’s a reason, not an excuse. However, I don’t want him being back with mc and that being the reason that fixes everything. Would be interesting to see him give up this obsession and attachment then finally move on to better himself. He does have a form of a support system from the “sister” that visits him, so that’s promising!

It seems like ML is actually the one that went through Stockholm Syndrome. Though unintentionally, he did develop a dependency and affection toward the person that was “responsible” for his captivity. While of course despising him. The poor MC was just a kid trying to help another kid he felt like he betrayed. So we joke about the MC being fine where he is at and he is honestly completely safe. Meanwhile it was the ML who is showing the affects of unintentional Stockholm syndrome to his “captor.” This codependency he hasn’t healed from since he was a kid.
This has been fairly lighthearted at first despite the serious situations, but now we are actually getting into the nitty gritty of the aftermath. I’m interested how this author will further this story.
He already liked mc before he got kidnapped
Not doubting that, just talking about his mental state and him clinging onto the mc the way he does. Both coexist and I find that so interesting in a character
