Don't understand how the male lead fell in love just like that, after all this time, so easily, just because of the short snippet of her changed personality at the start. Like after that one encounter when they talked? Just that? And then dude suddenly likes her
Yeah I think thats what they were hinting at too. Because he talked often about how he saw the love she had for him, but had his own duties that took president over everything else that could be important. But it is certainly frustrating that he only started recognizing his faults after she decided he no longer needed to try and flatter him
Yeah I think it’s this, otherwise how do you explain how quickly he held his sword up to her neck. If he had loved her even a little he wouldn’t have drawn it at all….
I think he felt some pity for her situation, but never considered helping her since his family hates the imperial family, and it wasn’t worth the risk. That’s part of the reason he feels so guilty now. Which led to watching/learning more about her and developing feelings, but in my opinion it’s too late and selfish of him.
I hope we see more of FL’s cold attitude! I hate it when they switch over/forgive everyone so quickly, I need to see suffering, remorse, and groveling
It was clearly stated by the first chapters that he’s surpressing himself because she’s from the family of an enemy and is another cliche workaholic and perfectionist cold young duke. He was also confused of his own feelings to the point where he asked his father; which the father replied it’s only guilt that he feel.
It feels rather lacking, the start of the story delivered more than I expected. Then when we got into the middle the story kinda wavered, I didn't see much relationship building between the two because MC was too focused and saving soliath.
I appreciate the focused story on soliath, and despite that they're always together it didn't really solidify how their relationship came to be.
Also I feel disconnected (from the start to the end) in how MC feels about ML, I wasn't sure when was he falling in love or like partially getting interested to the ML.
I do wish they took their time with the relationship building cause it kinda seems non existent, they did try to snuck it in with the whole "I'm gonna save soliath" Fiasco but they didn't deliver it well.
I really love this story though, cause it focused about an actual goal for the MC and they showed that, Not good enough for the relationship building though.
There is no fucking way that anyone can convince me that this shit isn't canon or better to say bl, BULLSHIT ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT!
how can this even be any other genre than bl? What the hell?!?!?! I SEE ONE ROMANCE AND THAT'S BL!
COOKING HEALTHY FOOD FOR HIM?
LITERALLY SAID "WHAT'S MINE IS YOURS"!?
BASICALLY GAVE THAT EXPENSIVE CONDO FOR FREE?!
ASKED HIM TO MOVE IN WITH HIM?
BROS GONNA WREAK HAVOC BECAUSE HIS BABY GOT KIDNAPPED, AND YOU'RE TELLING ME THIS SHIT AIN'T BL?!?!
Godbless the author I love you so please, please, please, change the genre

In terms of flow, at the start it did seem to flow evenly especially with the characters.
The villains where effective in a way but also forgettable and that just feels wrong at a point.
The romance was building up nicely but the consensus was underwhelming in a way that it felt it wasn't anything special. The after actions of the confession seems lacking and even Danny just feels like he was used for the sake of defeating the pope and, then his screen time decreases. I atleast hoped that there will be scenes where they show that they do look as Danny as their son but Welp.
Either way it was a good read!
