Hot boys, strong characters (shoujo seems to be full of weak whiny girls - at least the few I read) and interesting plots? (For those stories with a plot)

I'm actually tired of reading it. But still I don't know why I keep coming back to it. A kick of habit perhaps, or I don't have any other stress-relieving hobby.

As to why I like yaoi, I think deep inside me, I also want to submit and dominate someone. It's quite psychological.

I really don't know why i love it.. I just do... <3
I guess the whole concept of 2 hot guys being together is a dream come true :3 Also the sex scene between guys is 2 hot to miss out <3 <3

I like Yaoi because the guys are good-looking and funny. I was interested in it because I had nothing else to read or watch and I just randomly clicked on Junjou Romantica and got hooked. For me, I am a realistic person, and I hate the weak and stereotypical female heroines in Shoujo manga. So Yaoi presented an absence of that annoyance and the plots are more enriching and meaningful than Shoujo.

To put it simply, it's hot. I would rather watch/read two attractive men going at it than seeing a naked chick. We could ask why men like watching two women having sex, you would get the same answer.

At first it was simply curiosity, but I have stayed mostly because, plot wise, I found them more in depth than that of shoujo (not that have anything against shoujo since i still do read some).

Their my stress relieve, my motivation, my muse, and most of all, their my lesson.

my reason is the same I was tired of the whiny girls in shoujo so I tried yaoi and I was hooked ╮(￣▽￣)╭

i generally read all manga genre tho. It's just sometimes I find that sometimes yaoi have better story line or plot.

I started off because i was curious, and once i read love prize i was completely hooked. I like how the plot goes so much faster than shoujo, and it's so hot! And the stories in general are amazing, they really pull u in. I don't only read yaoi though, i have to mix it up.

The relationship between men is different than with a man and a woman. It's more raw I guess you could say. Yaoi is kind of like reading the more hardcore m/f romance/erotica novels. It doesn't even come close to reading m/m erotica, but it has its own charm. The art is spectacular and many of the stories are pretty well done. I'm a junkie and totally okay with it.

I like it so much because I think that the relationships are more realistic. I found in BL what I couldn't find in shoujo. It was too naive for me! In the most popular shoujos, the MCs don't even kiss. I just can't relate to that kind of relationship. And also, for me, sex is one of the best expressions of love and a way of communicating. And well, what yaoi doesn't lack are sex scenes. I thought about this matter very much since besides all this, I always liked gay couples hahaha but I get why now

Aside from having 2 good-looking guys having lovey-dovey with each other, the love stories of yaoi seems deep. It's like a forbidden and unconditional love. And sometimes yaoi is hilarious and sad but it has a deep impact to my heart mostly the lines... <3 u <3 And also I can be aware with the struggles and challenges of other homosexuals...

It started bcoz i was raised by a bunch of gay couple and then i used to date a girl whos a fujoshi....reading yaoi somehow makes me feel a lot closer to them....im starting to understand me parents as well...it kinda helps....well that was the only reason at first but now i genuinely like it....somehow the plots and arts in yaoi are good so oh well...i dont really get why i like it. Stress relief? Art? Plot? I dunno....i just like it. XD

I totally understand everyone's feelings we have similarities as to why we like yaoi so much. Sekaiich hatsukoi was definitely what pushed me to this amazing world and I love it, I can't get enough of it yaoi will be forever my addiction ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
