I think it would be nice to have a bridge from the moment they broke apart to coincidentally bumping into each other. It doesn’t have to be a whole separate chapter. It
could just be each panel mirrors what they were both doing and feeling for each year. It also gives a chance for future chapters to have more detailed flashbacks.
Kinda like this: one of the panels features ML eating steak with a friend or partner at this fancy restaurant to celebrate something. They’re enjoying their time together and then there’s a panel where ML briefly remembered how much MC loves meat. he chuckled quietly and immediately realize they aren’t together anymore. As the chuckles fade, his eyes dimmed and reflected emptiness.
Ten years into the future with the same 4 panel format as the four seasons pass. They actually visit Hawaii for their anniversary. They reminisce when they first exchanged rings. They have a pet dog. They still have their silly, intimate, and little moments especially in a domestic setting. These moments are what reminds them why they love each and have been together.
The ACE bandages, the clothes, the gender dysphoria, the comments—I had a feeling the mangaka was either trans himself or extremely informed and supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and it turns out he is a transman (woo hoo fuck yeah represent!!)
I’m also flinching at the ACE bandages because bRO YOUR RIBS AGGH. And that scene with the blood... I felt part of myself died in solidarity with Ryou.
PROCEED WITH CAUTION FOR IT’S MY SPECULATION FROM THE RAWS PROVIDED IN THE COMMENTS

I think Taehwan suffers from PTSD specifically, and the source of trauma is linked with that blonde motherfucker. I wouldn’t be shocked if that’s how he internalized his homophobia. Genuinely, I hope Taehwan gets therapy.
I think it would be great down the line if Taehwan eventually gathers the courage to accept himself and help from others. That’s definitely not happening any time soon, but I feel like that’s gonna be end game.
Tomo didn’t consent. He said no. He said stop. He was scared. That was rape.
It didn’t need to happen.
Fiction is not reality, but fiction is easy to influence and change people’s minds.
And honestly naw bruh, fuck the police.
It is important to be aware. Like the person who replied above, it still could and would have been good without it.
Ya know, I’m actually kind of tired of people brushing off sexual assault in fiction, especially BL stories.
I'm actually kind of tired of hypocrite people. This is Yaoi ffs, by reading this kind of story you should be AWARE what you are getting yourself into. "Fiction is EASY to influence people's mind" LMAO. People aren't that dumb, if you are that easy to be influenced like what you have said, I advice you to stop reading BL stories or anything of the sort.
And ideas along with questions.
Anyways, agreeing most people’s main complaint, I think the manga series was too short. It resolved too quickly. I feel like the plot could have been longer if what’s-his-face, the second son of whatever House, didn’t reveal everything to Mitsuru. What if that biter kept his identity hidden? What if he left a note in the dead lady’s hand? And what if... that note was what kickstarted Mitsuru to learn more about this unknown House *inserts name* is with.
Here are my endless questions. Who are the other Houses besides the Annaka one? What are all the rules and punishments these Houses enact and follow? How did biters come into existence as demihumen? Does blood type play an active role to how blood can be nectar? Yeaaah, I got a lot to wonder about.
My other idea is another what-if thought. What if the mangaka creates a sequel featuring the offspring of Anna and Mitsuru. We can learn way more in-depth about the Houses, the rules, and the system through their child/ren’s eyes. I entertained the idea of their child becoming a detective and/or a spy. I also *coughs* entertained the idea of their child falling in love with another biter... only to find out they already formed a symbiosis contract to a human with nectar blood. So much potential to build on.
Lemme say this on the record: I still enjoyed the story and art plenty. It’s interesting biters are not converted but born. I like how the characters’ eyes and body shift when shit’s going down.
Touma was being a jerk when they first met. He may have a point of Riku being bottom potential, but remember Riku never consented to being fingered.
Imagine that moment when Riku was pleading for help, and instead of Touma yielding, Touma just turns his back and refuses.
Riku whines about it, but he continues to jerk off. It’s still not enough, and his ass is becoming more sensitive, so out of heat-induced curiosity he starts rubbing around his hole. Then a little bit of probing. He can feel himself getting hotter. Riku glances up at Touma, and he meets a piercing stare. Diluted eyes, heavy panting. Riku wonders if Touma’s fingers would feel better, so he beckons more time with his legs slightly spreaded, “Won’t you help me... with those fingers?”
It’s still not great since heat is like being inebriated, so no one is in a right state of mind to make a smart decision when they’re in heat. At the very least in this scenario, Riku made that decision and not Touma.
Like the few who mentioned, I really don’t think he deserves to be treated as the worst asshole in the world. Not saying he wasn’t being an absolute jerk to Dojin when he found out about their relationship though. Dojin had every right to confront Taehwan and address his behavior. I bet a lot more understanding will come to play once we learn what triggered Taehwan’s trauma, but it’s not an excuse to hurt or cut off other people if the other person is actually innocent (and another victim to top it off).
Taehwan did realize he made a mistake, and then he made it right for them. Taehwan has redeemable qualities.
As for Yeonwu... let me say if I too had internalized Taehwan’s trauma and undergone the same experience, I would react almost the same way. And no, Yeonwu didn’t commit the worst crime to deserve death threats. The broken trust just makes more sense.
I don’t fully blame Yeonwu for acting rashly because he was a kid who made a simple mistake and doesn’t know what Taehwan’s been through. There are actions that cannot be forgiven, but this is a forgivable one.
Taehwan is complicated and that’s what makes it interesting as well as relatable for me.

Aw wish they kept the part when Yohan called that motherfucker who picked him up a mushroom-cap-looking-bastard. Let him drag their asses
