No? Uke was disowned by his family for being gay and saw how happy seme was when he was around kids. He didn't want him to lose the chance of having a family from being in a same sex relationship (which is literally what happened to uke himself) so he broke up with him because he wanted him to be happy. They got back together and seme told him that that's not gonna happen with him

MC was scared of the thought of separation because they can't do what opposite sex couples are able to do, and this is honestly a valid response fter being disowned by your parents after coming out as gay. Mc did not mean to push him off the stairs, did you not see him try to grab ml??? He was stressed and overthinking, overthinking the limitations he'll give to ML if they eventually did get married(assuming that they're already engaged). Same sex couples handles marriage a lot differently than the opposite sex couples because of the society, that's what MC was afraid of, not for himself, but for ml!!!! I enjoy seeing other's perspectives too. I know uke could've just communicated but I think he got deep rooted issues. He got disowned by his parents. The people he trusted most. Imagine your family, the people you trusted most can turn their back on you in the blink of an eye, I think anyone would be traumatized by this. I know I do. He voiced his sexuality and got disowned. He had assumptions that his parents would accept him and he's wrong. Yes it could be communicated but he never had that epiphany. He thought his parents loved him the most and then they disowned him. So even if seme loved him the most, the fear didn't dissapear because it happened before.
So yeah, communication is key but when all previous communication with his former family failed uke, he can't help but hesitate.
