I like the story and all because of the mysterious conflict between the church, the imperial family, and divine beats, but the overglazing and unnecessary “pedestal” on the MC is starting to “cringe” me out - it’s starting to be corny and the plot to be predictable. Especially that “adoration” from the other mages and the bland ML getting mad over the attention lol - the second hand embarrassement and that’s just one of the cringe scenes on this manhwa kms

Okay our main MAIN antagonist here is the Dowager as she’s been doing a lot of things in the dark - hell even the King is wary of her. She’s also interested with tht damn red golem in the north. So it makes me wonder how will pue girl be saved or be pardoned. There are a lot of options:
1. She reveals herself as a Golem Master to the King and Duke and the king MIGHT pardon her as she is the LAST master that they can use to fight the dowager
2. A war breaks out and the king dies and Valentine takes over the throne
3. Some miracle bs ig
I really want it to be the #1 option.

I read multiple manhwas with politics included in the plot (lol like any historical/etc ones) but this one?? is really well written, well thought, and not just some random political filler arc like any other manhwas out there. i tend to skip manhwas once they reach the politics aspect because they don’t make sense or it’s mostly covering FMC vs RIVAL instead of THIS - this??? THIS IS WHAT MONARCH POLITICS SHOULD BE. this manhwa focuses on Tia and the fight with Angenas AND the romance is just the subplot which makes it way better because it does not overshadow BUT you can still tell it’s a focus too
This one also manages to show politics in a pretty straightforward (but surprisingly accurate) way too. So it's also a lot easier to read.
A lot of medieval manhwa with decent plots end up being TOO complex in the politics to the point that some readers actively look for spoilers to understand said politics (myself included).
Glad this one hasn't fallen into that pitfall after all these years.

He never believed in her. He never wanted to hear her explanation. He just wanted to torture her. And you’re bringing up the one instance, he asked her to communicate where we seeing in every other instance, he’s always lying to her or himself like I don’t know this is seeming very misogynistic to defend a man that we’ve been seen. The whole entire story has been wrong. The whole entire story has been hurting her.

The way he has treated her until now has been directly because he doesn't know the truth and she refuses to tell him. He never "forced her into a marriage", that's something they both want for personal reasons, and he never "physically abused her", the cut thing was because he needs to touch her blood for his ability... He was mean to her a few times... He's been very conflicted because he naturally still loves her and has trouble being shitty to her despite what he thinks she did...

He's realizing in real time that she was not treated well in the penitentiary like he was lead to believe, he is not realizing in real time that "all of his misconceptions are in his head" and that wouldn't make sense anyways because she was arrested for the thing that's actually hurting him for not knowing about it. The thing she's been avoiding telling him about the whole story. In reality he's been progressively failing to keep her at a distance because he still cares about her and she's giving off signs that she was abused in the penitentiary.

Again, he had every reason to believe he shouldn't care about her at that point. She needed to tell him that what literally everyone "knows" about her to be fact is actually false. He is only just now learning of this possibility by the investigation done by his aide, not from her. Because his grandfather had done an investigation into it before dying. Despite this misunderstanding, he has been struggling TO hate her because of his feelings for her.
