i've read many a badly written story in my time, but this one has got to be up there with some of the worst i have ever read. post 2020s, it is genuinely inexcusable to be writing rape as a means of romantic development between two characters. it is the certified mark of a terrible writer, without fail. you write something like this and you tell me without directly saying so that you don't know what it means to write anything, much less a story. "he's evil because he's a rapist and an abuser; he's innocent because he's naive; he's romantic because he likes makoto." so shallow even a newborn wouldn't be in danger of drowning in it. every single character is fully devoid of personality or compelling (or sensible!) motivations. there are ways to write smut-centric stories without making it miserable for the readers every possible step of the way. i feel like i've been punished for even giving this my time of day.
i'm no believer that every story needs to be some highbrow masterpiece to be worthy of existence, but both the author and the publisher should be embarrassed they put this out in the world for people to look at. if you're considering reading this, i would sooner recommend watching paint dry to achieve the same effect.

jinhyeong was crazy for even trying to leave like that, like brother don't you know by now that uyun's temper is worse than yours when he's angry i understand that he's never had a person willing to make major sacrifices just to stay with him so it's difficult for him to conceptualize himself being more valuable for another person's future than any job prospects. when you're mentally unstable from being abused and you haven't received proper support for it, even when you're growing, it's easy to fall back into bad habits because they're all you've known, so i do feel for him. they're so sweet, i love them so much. easily #1 bl couple for me.

as an aside, i literally called this exact situation months and months ago. i just knew that jinhyeong's father would be the final obstacle standing between jinhyeong and his future with uyun and that the only way he would ever separate from uyun would be if his father threatened to cause him harm. obviously uyun is (rightfully) furious, but i hope the conversation they have will inspire jinhyeong to make the correct decision and properly stand up to his father one last time. truly the only reason why jinhyeong should ever return to his father's house should be to tell him he should disown him and that he doesn't identify himself as his son because this is insane.
i will say that i find it sweet in its own way that uyun knew exactly what jinhyeong was about to do because he loves him that deeply and knows him so well, well enough to know that jinhyeong would hurt himself in such a flimsy trap in his hurry to leave lmao.

also i'm seeing people call eunoh poly but i'm not completely confident that he is? i read this chapter as him seeking exclusivity and monogamy and expecting the same in turn from his chosen partner while also believing he should reserve the right to fall in love with other people. i feel like if he were poly, then he wouldn't have had a negative response to a person of interest telling him he had a girlfriend. honestly, there's something to be said about the fact that he is very easily swayed into deep bouts of romantic feelings for those who are even slightly friendly or somewhat attractive to him. like, even a squirrel would have a chance if it complimented him with a cookie. he may be able to choose to live this way and be at peace with it, but it is clearly at odds with him wanting to have a particular person he is dedicated to who is dedicated to him as well because it causes other people to think he is not especially devoted to them or that he isn't being serious, which is natural thought process for people who only want monogamous relationships imo. i feel like reading this chapter and only coming out of it thinking "he's so poly~" is a bit of a shallow understanding of his character tbh.
i think his quality of life will improve tremendously and he'll find the true love he's after much faster if he realizes that having little crushes is okay and it doesn't need to turn into this major love affair every time.
got a really bad feeling about that. it would be nice if it were just a fake out and it's something unrelated to jinhyeong's father, but he's already been shown numerous times to not respect jinhyeong and his autonomy so he is undoubtedly sending someone to stalk both jinhyeong and uyun. this shit is such a nightmare because it won't end with jinhyeong putting his foot down and telling him to leave them alone because his father truly believes he has ownership over jinhyeong's life. i'm afraid he'll really go to great lengths to separate them once he finds out about the nature of their relationship, or jinhyeong will do it on his own as a means of protecting uyun.
