I hate when MC's go against smart advice. She should avoid him. Luca clearly doesn't trust him, and neither does ML, so it's not like she had to meet with the villain to get Intel to convince them he's bad. Just avoid him, don't let him get an angle on you, and let ML and Luca handle it.

I get that but she has almost no power here. She's the supposed mother of the heir but she's seen as a commoner. What is she going to do? ML has actual power and influence, and even Luca has more sway, even as a child. I'd argue it's almost not adult mentality, because she's seeing herself as a plucky heroine who's going to help Luca, despite having very little actual social power to do so.

I wish people would stop saying the age of consent is de facto 13 in Japan. Almost all prefectures have their own laws about age of consent that take precedence over the national age of consent. I am so so so glad that this chapter has ended. She does seem severely mentally ill, but even with that, attempted murder isn't taken lightly. I think the facility and the father should also be held in some part responsible. I have a cousin who is in a residential treatment center and you bet they would get in legal trouble if they lost track of their patients. The father might also have some responsibility if he knew where his daughter was or helped her when she escaped at all.

Yuma knows that Mimori is a very submissive person who didn't really have a good social interaction with other people in general. Mimori was probably closer to the coworker before-hand and wants to still maintain a good relationship both for personal and/or work reasons. Although I do wish Mimori would've stood up for himself against the coworker in another way that isn't "Kissing Yuma to Prove Their Relationship is Real" we've clearly seen how Mimori isn't able to express his feelings well. You're thinking about this a very western lens. Of course if someone is harassing you you want to retaliate, you could even report them for sexual harassment. But in Japan, there's no recourse for Mimori. However, if he physically lashed out, his harasser could report that and it would be taken seriously, and even if Mimori said the coworker was sexually harassing him, the most likely outcome is that they both would simply juat be fitrd. Also in Japan, people do not job hop. Company loyalty is highly valued, so people often stay at one company for life. If Mimori were fired or if he left, he would have an extremely hard time finding a new job.

Yeah the plot leaves no room for us to see Mimori grow as a person in which he's able to express his feelings on the situation. Instead we witness an emotionally abusive Yuma who doesn't open up a door for Mimori to explain himself. Mimori most like blocked the punch because he himself doesn't condone violence. The biggest perpetrators are still Tsuji and Yuma. Mimori is still a victim.
This would've been a way better story if Mimori got to explain to Yuma his feelings and Yuma just wholeheartedly listening to his lover. The confrontation should also not be them kissing in front of Tsuji, but Mimori standing up and re-drawing a line between their relationship as just coworkers and at most friends. Instead we get a cheesy romanticized abuse story ╮(￣▽￣)╭
