I remember reading the novel and I was so pissed off because of how stupid both of them are.
If she didnt get a reality check from the male lead she'd stay. People like this girl needs harsh scolding to realize they need to stop being pathetic. She realize she has nothing and would be homeless. After the scolding girl got jobs. But if that didnt happen i bet she'd just still be crying
She already had jobs. How else is she going to live with a younger brother in an apartment paid for by her dad who uses that as an excuse to squeeze money out of her all the time most likely by holding that over her head?

I keep wondering what his side of the story is. I get that he had family issues, but he could have at least said goodbye properly. When he came back, he acted completely nonchalant like he did nothing wrong. He owes her an explanation, but his cowardice always wins. If he stays away because he thinks he is a burden, he is right. He remains a burden to her as long as he refuses to talk. He should just stay away for good. The difference between him and Dohwa is huge. Dohwa is just a guy with a crush, but he actually tries his best for her. I am not even Team Dohwa, but at least that guy puts in the effort.
Eunhyuk fans should understand that he is currently a burden to her regardless of what he does as long as he doesnt keep himself away from her. Its not like she wont understand him. She will.
But if he doesnt even have the fcking guts to explain the least he could do is not show himself infront of her. Because his family affair, is not her problem

I get why Varkas acts the way he does, but Thalia doesn't even have that excuse. In her POV he doesn't like her at all. Watching her be so desperate over that guy in her sound mind is genuinely painful.

its not that she pathetic honestly and I get why everyone sees it that way but when you're constantly alone and abused by everyone around you it takes a toll on your health, and since everyone hated, abused, and never loved/liked her it makes you desperate for any kind of attention that you can get from others. When he showed her basic kindness by helping her it made her obsessed with him but I mean it is very sad and I wish she would end up with the other knight so she wouldn't be forever destined for horrid things...
The knight gave her much more attention and kindness that this guy lol. It just happened that Varkas was the first boy crush she had

The novel claims Varkas is cursed with emotional numbness and suppression. Which is very different from an ASPD person who feels zero empathy, they do however have high cognitive empathy and fully intact logic. To understand right and wrong and read emotions.
At first I was like "a psycho is better than this guy in knowing whats right" I gues, I was just expecting Varkas — who's only emotionally numb — to treat Thalia better. I was expecting him to know how to read emotions intellectually, like just use logic. But I guess him "having emotions" results to having defense mechanisms which sabotages his outward behavior.
Just my thoughts.
A large part of it is the fact that his own father Gave him up to be tortured by the priests. A child who is then sexually harassed and assaulted by priests and when he retalites to defend himself, is told hes a liar and that his "blood" does not lie; that he is a savage through and through. Parka quite literally had to become a shell of a person bc everyone around him sees him not as a person, but something to be obtained and used. He is then a child who is cursed by his own relative to stay loyal to her children who then are aware of the oath and continuously take advantage of him, leaving him with no autonomy for himself whatsoever. Mind u, the prince is fully aware of Varka's feelings for Thalia at this point, and thinks having varka look for thalia and seeing her dead would be amusing. everyone is starting to realize that Thalia is special to him at this point in the story which I think speaks volumes in of itself because at the end of the day, Thalia and varka are not reliable narrators to an extent
Wait, spoil me. Khan ate Varkas, yes? But then Varkas lived as a wolf and saw the past. Does that mean the Khan who ate Varkas is actually Varkas himself?
Also, since Varkas is living as Khan right now, what happens when Thalia is about to die again? Will he save her as Khan, or is her fate inevitable? Does he just watch her die again and then eat Varkas in some kind of time loop, or is this a one-time thing? Has it actually been stated in the book whether Varkas-as-Khan literally ate Varkas?

Cause im wondering how this story will end. What was the point of Varkas being inside the wolf. Will there be a regression? Or just regret, just him watching his wife suffering and they will both die in the end.
