I'm pretty sure the first time mc used the holy bride magic he cured him...but Alec was still in love with him regardless. like with mal and prince ben in descendants. mc said "wait, if that really was holy bride music, alec would have been cured of the love potion, but hes still acting like this" so either a) he ACTUALLY isnt the holy bride or b) alec really is in love with him
