Yall are annoying af. If it got dragged out for many chapters you would have been upset. If he gets justice for dan you are upset. If he loses, you are upset. If he cries and grovels you are upset. If he apologizes and tries to help dan in ways he knows how, you are upset. Nothing makes you happy. It really is a wonder why yall are even reading this comic if you hate it and the main character so much. Go read something you actually like.
dude cmon, i do enjoy the the manga. it aint the high-road. everyone's got characters they like and hate in mangas(ever heard of antagonist?).
people hate on em for fun. targetting a character in manga while liking another char is normal lmao? everyones got a hcar they hate and char they love.
shitting on the whole manga saying JINX is shit in the comments is weird
mingwa made horseface hate-able for a reason lmao
Omfg grow up you could just read the story normally while reacting to his character development but yall make hating him ur whole personality and completely ignore any work he does to change as a person and just brush off what he went through to become that way which is what makes you fucking annoying. Kim dan can do no wrong because he’s the bottom and had a hard life but jjk is the horse face devil incarnate because he handles his trauma poorly? Fuck off. Nobody wants to hear about how much you hate him keep that shit to yourself. The thing is he’s NOT the antagonist but yall want to treat him like one when his life was just as hard. Yall have this weird complex about characters who suffer through indignities passively but when a character has a normal human response to years of abuse and its not pretty and sad and pathetic, they’re called awful things by readers. I hope you have no friends with trauma because you sound like you would be awful to be around for them.
I think you’re missing why people react so strongly in the first place.
The story itself is written in a really polarized way. Dan is basically angelified to the point where he barely ever messes up, which honestly makes him feel less human. Meanwhile Jaekyung is written doing objectively awful, sometimes straight up deplorable things. When readers respond to that contrast, it’s not them making hating him their personality, it’s them reacting to what’s on the page.
And yeah, his trauma explains why he acts the way he does, but it doesn’t excuse it. Especially not the borderline assault behavior. That’s exactly why his development feels slow, because he’s starting from a pretty bad place. He’s not redeemed yet, he’s just beginning to crawl in that direction. If anything, it feels like the author is speeding things up recently because the story seems like it’s heading toward an ending.
Also, acting like people who criticize him must be awful to trauma survivors is a stretch. A lot of us do have friends with trauma, or have dealt with it ourselves, and that’s exactly why we don’t treat it like a free pass. At some point, trauma explains behavior, it doesn’t justify continuing to hurt others. Where that point is depends on the person, so yeah, people are going to disagree. It’s literally a spectrum of tolerance.
And let’s be real, this is an illegal site discussion about a story where the author literally wrote him as satan incarnate for the entire first arc. You can’t write a character like that and then be surprised when readers react accordingly.
You can like him, you can root for his growth. But people disliking him right now isn’t some moral failure, it’s a completely fair reading of the story as it’s been written so far.
Stupid to make a whole chapter over arguments in the comments. Delete this waste of time
which would’ve been buried underneath more comments eventually. this was a way so everyone can see it no matter how much time passes. it was permitted to be posted. same people whining about it not being an actual chapter are the same people who refuse to buy the raws for the translators, same people who refuse to use the official apps. you’re getting a free service so y’all need to be quiet and take what you get.
No I really dont? I didnt need to see it because I have the reading comprehension and basic empathy to not have needed this spelled out to me in the first place. I’m here to read the story, not squabble about bad takes. Which is why I’m annoyed when the bad takes move from the comments to the part where the reading is supposed to happen. If I wanted to know what was going on in the comments, I would go read those instead.

Yall should publish fanfic with how you just make up shit in the plot that never happened. Dojin saying point blank he’ll support whatever Hyesung wants to do and still yall bitching about him forcing him to forgive his mother.
lmfao right?? they don't even read the webtoon, how is he "the worst husband ever" when he's been nothing but supportive and understanding? forget being in a romantic relationship, these bitches in the comments don't seem to interact with other human beings on a daily basis
Yeah, but he STILL contacted her knowing she abandoned HIS wife when he was young with that abusive father. He's not the worst husband but he's still wrong for that.
EXACTLY! He gave her house and even money for life support, knowing she NEGLECTED her child. Forget about life support, she did not take care of her own son! Not to remind people also, Dojin tried to separate them so they wouldn't meet because he said he was afraid Hyesung would be mad. He's not worried of Hyesung's condition nor opinion, he JUST AFRAID HYESUNG WOULD HE MAD AT HIM. I think it was around chapter before they meet the mom.
insane take. of course he was worried about his wife and that he would be upset with him, but at the same time he didn't want the mother of his beloved (!) to rot in the streets when he's got all the money to save her sorry ass....... that's basic human decency on his part. it doesn't mean he forgave her, doesn't mean he can overlook what she did to hyesung. he is not a bad person for trying to help, he never forced hyesung to meet her either.
It's not that insane if it's actually happened. Dojin did in fact say he doesn't want them to meet because he was afraid Hyesung would be mad at him. He, or we could say the author, show the scene as a comedic relief, something around like "I don't want him to get mad... ( ̄∇ ̄")"
My mistake for saying he's not worried, the right sentence should be—he's more scared of Hyesung getting mad at him rather than Hyesung's consent and approval for staying contact with the person who has been neglecting him.
oh because you're in his head!! or at least in the author's head. so you know better than anyone what that fictional little dude feels and why he did what he did. no one gets him like you do
