I feel like there were other directions this story could've gone. Like the ml acting a little detached because he's in his head a lot or maybe pretending to be okay for a while until it comes out during an argument or something. That would've been normal because feeling anxious happens quite often in relationships. The author ruined the ml when he was the "perfect-imperfect" boyfriend.

Somehow the author wanted to convince uss readers that grayson turns out like this because of his parents' negligence but imo that still doesn't justify anything and it's true grayson is a sick bastard,,and Damon teaches him a good lesson but they do end up together,,it would have been great if he ended up being alone,,but alas!!
