At first, it sounds like a normal concern, but after reading the novel about Sayoung's childhood, though... ouch.
One think I love about this is how almost every seemingly insignificant detail ends up mattering later. Just wow...

I originally started reading this because alpha x alpha manhwas are quite rare, but honestly, this was painful to get through.
The biggest issue is that if the MC stopped lying and hiding things, and if both leads communicated like actual adults, this manhwa would have been ended by chapter 15. Instead, it feels like the author deliberately dragged the story out with endless misunderstandings.
Let's start from the beginning: MC lives a carefree life, changes partners constantly, has no real goals, and comes from a wealthy family. The ML is gullible and naive, but somehow he's still the more reasonable one out of the two. The MC and his friend think it's funny to play with other people's feelings, so whenever someone asks for the omega friend's phone number, they are actually given the MC's contact information (even though he's an alpha). Apparently giving a fake number or simply rejecting people was never an option.
The MC spends a large part of the story pretending to be an omega and then acts confused when the ML doesn't react the way he expected after they meet. Eventually, they talk things through and resolve it. Great, right? The story moves forward, their relationship starts developing, and it seems like the MC has finally learned his lesson and will start being honest.
Haha, no.
About ten chapters later, the MC's brother sends an omega to seduce him. And what does the MC do? He hides it. Instead of telling the ML that a random omega tried to sleep with him at his brother's request, he keeps it a secret for absolutely no reason. Seriously, why not just talk about it? Naturally, this leads to another misunderstanding, another fight, and more unnecessary drama.
And then, after all of that, the MC's response is basically: *"I'm sorry... it's my fault."* Excuse me, what? They exchange about two sentences, and suddenly everything is solved with a makeup sex scene.
What annoyed me even more is that the MC keeps in contact with his former client because he genuinely believes they can be friends, while the ML continues showing interest in the MC's omega friend in ways that can easily be misunderstood. At this point, neither of them seems capable of learning from previous mistakes.
I won't even get into the rest of the details. The whole thing feels messy and poorly put together. The conflicts are repetitive, the misunderstandings become exhausting, and the story relies far too heavily on characters refusing to communicate.
It's readable if you're looking for something to pass the time, but I would never read it again. If you don't want to waste your time, I'd honestly recommend skipping this one.

Stories with lack of communication as continuous plot device is not my cup of tea. I didn’t like how things started but I was hoping it would get better but apparently , not. Thanks for the review. I just saved myself from wasting time :)

I’d like to ask those who have read the novel: do you feel too that the manhwa is moving a bit too fast compared to the novel? It seems like many details and smaller moments are being left out, which makes some scenes feel rushed. I’ve also noticed that the art style has changed, which affects the overall tone for me. This isn’t meant as criticism just an observation, and I’m curious how others feel about it.

Yeah I'd say it's going a bit fast, it was the case from the beginning (exhibit a : in S1 they cut the whole "gift contest" from the restaurant's regulars ╥﹏╥). But I'd say it's still in the norms for manhwa adaptations - they often forego some minor points to get the plot moving in less panels.
I guess the art style changed a bit but idk yet if it affects the tone for me. Ma boy CEJ looking prettier each episode tho
I got a glimpse of the novel, it was actually pretty nice the details and all that, so when I went back to read the manwha now, it feels like it's lacking or like a lot has been skipped over or something, idk feels weird but it has been a while so I don't mind now, that is if I'm only reading the manwha and not the novel
oh roght I think they didn’t add the scene wher rin the suction they were all sharing this snack i forgot and also the art style isnt bad i really like it honestly the improvement is there I mean cuz if u look at start of season one vs end they randomly.. gained weight?? idk their physique change is what got me a little confused but thats it if u go on the official artists twt their Art is rllly good ╮(￣▽￣)╭
yeah it's going pretty fast :/ part 1 is my favorite out of the 2 for the novel because it really sets the foundation for a lot of the characters and their relationships but it falls a little flat here. i still like it, don't get me wrong, but manhwa adaptations will always suffer from cut content. there's a scene in the earler chapters that was changed in the manhwa that really surprised me when i went to go read the novel. it may seem like a small change in the long run but to me, it changed the context for a lot of things while going through the novel compared to the manhwa.
ok so i went to go look for it and ch 11 of the manhwa, when euijae is listening into jung bin and sayoung's convo, sayoung makes it known that he knows euijae is listening by side eyeing him when in the novel he quite literally spells out on the table with his finger "are you listening?" and it genuinely seems like suchhh a small thing but that little detail means so much to me... i'm sad to have seen it get changed T_T
Yes, that’s why I read the novel, because it has extra scenes and information that weren’t included in the manhwa.

Why does every other chapter revolve around Etienne getting sick/passing out/accidentally (or not) poisoning himself/going into pheromone shock/doing something unbelievably dumb? Like is this a plot or a medical drama?
That's the plot, his so called mother (whore) only cared about the throne could not care less about her killing her son, all she want is the throne, don't worry, she'll get the taste of her own medicine but you're gonna need your patience to reach that satisfying chapter
I don't know why I read this all the way through. Maybe it's because I was captivated by the story and the process of them both wanting to improve. +it's fluffy and cute, art is amazing. But! Why did they have to ruin it by making uke look like a 6 year old kid? I swear he looks like my little brother Sure, uke is mature and act like one, but whyy. Such a turn off. Sorry for the rant
