My gripe isn’t with what happened per se. It’s the disparity of what this chapter was communicating to the reader (the fact that Ideum is losing his autonomy and respect as a human from the person who he first felt seen from) and the way it was depicted (which was typical bl smut, when the writing in this bl gave me hope for something much more considered, rather than a sell out for smut enjoyers).
My other gripe is this comment sections refusal to critique Jaeyi’s actions for what they were and instead justify them because “well Ideum is a exhibitionist”. The two are separate matters and can be talked about separately. Neither give right for the other.
I agree, this made me uncomfortable because it's so far off from what we've seen from them so far. We're not given any reason as to why jaeyi would suddenly be acting this way when up until now he's been very respectful of ideum. And it's sad that ideum has to feel disillusioned in this way when he was so grateful for him just seconds prior. It upset me

it’s the way the author framed it that would surely make some people think somnophilia is not something you have to agree upon beforehand you’re supposed to discuss about it and treat it seriously like bdsm cause the other party is quite literally unconscious when it comes to somnophilia but no they just think it’s fair now cause ideum did this and that in the beginning
I understand why this chapter exists, and it’s not just some sex that some of y’all are insisting that it is. It’s so clearly demonstrating Ideums loss of autonomy in the relationship and how he’s basically seen/treated like a sex object. It’s setting up Jaeyi’s character growth. However personally, I’m a bit shocked and appalled at the degree of SA the author chose for Jaeyi to commit. I also think the (porny) way in which it’s depicted really detracts from what Ideum loses and what he realises in the moment.

That’s the impression I’ve been getting. I do understand ur confusion though. The 2 dudes were slut shaming the ML (uke) in the bathroom of the nightclub but then the MC comes out of the bathroom to find the ML beating that guy up who made a move on him. But then the MC & ML hookup right after that.
and then he goes to state that he likes his men with experience when they hook up after the club part but then in the flash back he laments the MC for being a “gay bastard” after approaching the ML first
There are so many confusing things about this story! Does the ML know that the guy he hooked up with after the club is the MC? It’s strongly implied when the ML shows the MC the hickeys & says something like “cleaning up ur mess” or something.
Also i think the ML brags about all the girls liking him or something so is he gay, bi? Does he just not want ppl knowing he is gay?

I am SICK of seeing “twinkification” thrown at Garam. It is so clearly a progressive art style change considering EVERY CHARACTER CHANGED WITH GARAM. The artist so obviously found their style through drawing this bl, they had moved from more realistic proportions for EVERYONE, to a more stylised look FOR EVERYONE.

We know everyone changed styles, we just didn't like how Garam changed. In my opinion, S2 Garam and S3 Jaehyuk looked their best, and many of us were not happy with how small and thin Garam was by the end of S4, while Jaehyuk barely shrunk.
