bc of the same face syndrome, i really struggled to understand what's happening here. So this is what I think happened.
Mc and Haewon (third prince and twink with mole under his eye) used to be together(?) before mc was manipulated into killing his sunbae from the sect and his family was falsely accused by tall manservant. Mc vows to get revenge and returns to the point when he would've started getting involved with Haewon. This caused Haewon to target mc's elder bro till mc throws a fit to stop them from getting married. The sunbae (guy who unfortunately looks like the elder bro) was also Haewon's half-elder bro and the sect senior of mc and seems to be the possessive sort. And he's just...there? ig?? idk, the palace bit confused the fuck outta me lol

the main and the side stories deal with such heavy topics but with grace and respect for the characters. And don't let me get started on how much I ADOREEEE the characters!!! Obv Taesun and Geumryan gave my heart, but grandpa and the babies (OMG THE BABY FEVER I HAD READING THE SIDE STORIES IS INSANE) and the fox and other guy too, they're so damn precious.
