I just saw a random spoiler online. Apparently the red haired guy is going to rape Haebom in front of Taesung, while the grandfather and his goons beat and restrain Taesung into submission. This shit is disgusting.

I hate this. It's hard to accept that Juheon is doing anything for Dohu's own good anymore. I get he's going through a lot, but when has that ever given anyone the right to treat other people like shit?

The worst thing Dohu ever did was let Juheon's imagination run wild after getting caught using him as a literary reference. Juheon has been verbally, professionally, and now sexually abusive to Dohu. I just...I really loved this story and this couple. But, this relationship is officially dead to me now. Once again, I say that Dohu SHOULD go find happiness elsewhere. Juheon can rot in the solitary confinement he's built for himself.

After all this time reading this story, I just don't get them as a couple. I was hoping the author would figure it out and make me see it. But, now the end is here and I still feel like they have 0 chemistry. They fucked a ton, but there is nothing compatible about their personalities, interests, or dynamics. They don't even look good together, imo.

I get it's fiction, but this pairing truly feels forced. Nothing Jaekyung could ever do would make up for all the cruelty he inflicted on EVERYONE (not just Dan). And while I appreciated Dan's growth so much in this past season, it's disappointing to see him fall back into old habits in the end. Idk. I'm just not thrilled with the rushing of this wrap-up, and I feel cheated by Mingwa.

I agree with a lot of ya'll. The author should def just take a long, long break. Nbd. I'd rather they get right, heal, and then be able to jump in again when all that's done. It's much better than adding another hiatus every few chapters. Besides, I doubt any of us will be without something to read in the interim. Lol.

They're both immature, uncommunicative, callous, and petty. Garam has a fair point and is totally allowed to stay in the closet, but his inability to use "I" statements and his tendency to decide everything on his own are his problems. Jaehyuk's feelings of insecurity are valid and he deserves to be in a relationship that makes him feel appreciated; however, he doesn't have the right to drag Garam out of the closet or harass him on campus.

Someone said, "In real life, they'd breakup." Truthfully, I wish they would. Their dynamic personalities are built for fighting and their wants are fully incompatible. Atm, they are a terrible match. I wish Jaehyuk would just say exactly how this situation is making him feel, give space for Garam's perspective, then calmly walk away from this relationship. We timeskip 5 years later, they meet again more mature and now both out as queer men ready to try. At some point, Jaehyuk sees a scar from an emergency appendectomy on Garam, realizes the stress he was under and apologizes. Garam apologizes, too. They makeup and we move on to the new season, aka 30 side stories of their gay-ass love story. Roll credits.

Why would Junmin antagonize him / fess up to plotting Dan's demise when he already knew that he was nowhere near Jaekyung's level? Like, that's why they cheated the first time. Lol. What made him think Jaekyung would just crumble after learning the truth? Baek Junmin is a dumbass ig. Probs my favorite chapter of this whole story!

First off, I hate this new season and wish there were more ways to share that sentiment online, directly to Bamwoo. That said, these latest 2 updates gave a strange clue. The way Haebom reacted to meeting his friends again versus Taesung was night and day. He was terrified of Taesung, was harsh with his words, he has consistently "slumped" every time they are forced to be alone together, and he's been actively counting down the days until they never see each other again. However, when he saw his friends again they immediately got back to it, he cried, he actually smiled, and he guaranteed they'd meet again.

Whatever happened to Haebom, it's clear it involves Taesung's family much deeper than the grandfather's ire. I still think Taesung's family history and Haebom's have bad blood that was revealed to him while he was kidnapped. I think he was definitely raped in that time, too. AND/OR, he was Clockwork Oranged to fear Taesung. Idk. Tbh, this new direction is trash, but at least the story is unfolding and we're getting more specifics. I just really wish there was a wider forum to discuss this. Oh well. Gonna go wallow in depression now.

It's been so long that I had to reread the beginning of this story just to be sure. Garam came out to Jaehyuk in the 2nd chapter, unflinching, after being caught fucking himself on Jaehyuk's bed with a dildo.

This whole debate on whether Jaehyuk outed Garam or not seems moot when the whole origin of their story stems from Garam outing himself to get back at Jaehyuk for his homophobia. Retcons are a thing, but I feel this context is sorely lacking in the discussion rn. So, once again, I'll say that Garam is quitting their relationship now to "protect Jaehyuk", not himself. He's fine being out, but not his relationship being out.

Jaehyuk has done and said a lot of mean things in the past, but Garam is wrong here. He's forcing Jaehyuk into a closet with no room for other options. That's why he gave an ultimatum, too. That said, as a queer person, I understand why Garam feels the way he does. Being out as a couple is a common conversation in queer relationships that honestly can be a dealbreaker. Personally, I think they should break up. They have too many irreconcilable differences and this is just the straw that broke the camel's back. Take a break, at least. Garam left, so he should be the one to fix things; however, based on this chapter it seems like we're in for yet another Jaehyuk chasing arc.

Idgaf. This was fucked. Just because you call it "psychological" that doesn't justify poor storytelling. They should've parted ways for good or died. Forcing a rekindled relationship is downright ridiculous.

Also, all these comments saying "they both were wrong". Stfu. No tf they weren't. Dohyun was selfish and cold in their relationship, but that was it. Sungho was the one that was repressed. He was the one who was obsessed. He was the one that turned to rape, violence, and kidnapping. He destabilized Dohyun's life so bad, and for what? A bad relationship in high school. Fucking high school?! Are you kidding? How many people are perfect, considerate, and rational people while literally in the midst of childhood development. Give some fucking grace. At the very least, accept that he was a shitty partner and move on like every other spurned high school romance. Ugh! There's really no excusing Sungho's actions--they weren't justifiable or fair, he was just crazy. The writers tortured their character endlessly, then backed off in the end for something "wholesome". Ridiculous.

I don't normally make sweeping judgements, but anyone who believes this was an error of equals is terrifying. If you sincerely believe this was justice or fair or fitting in any way you need to 1) read more, 2) seek professional help, and 3) never seek positions of power. Gah! So frustrating! (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸

Jaehyuk is bi, not straight. Acting like he doesn't understand the consequences of coming out is infantilizing him. All these people claiming he couldn't possibly understand Garam's position are absolutely disregarding his own queer journey in this story. They are both 2 queer men in SK. Garam just has the unfortunate story of coming from hardship and early childhood trauma.

I don't think Garam is a coward. I actually think he has some fair points. HOWEVER, he needs to take responsibility. If he truly thinks it's best that they be apart, then end it. Don't run away and leave your partner distressed and confused. End it, walk away, and revel in the distance and solidarity you wanted. He's being an unfair partner when he refuses to communicate or give space for Jaehyuk's input. Jaehyuk is a grown man who is allowed to speak for himself on his own feelings and decisions. Claiming they need to break up for Jaehyuk's own good is untrue and gaslighting. That's no different than the horrible things Garam's mom and ex said to him. Essentially, Garam is passing on his trauma to Jaehyuk with a new twist.

I hope they break up. All they do is fight. Garam clearly isn't capable of giving or receiving love rn, which is totally fine. It's gonna hurt, but I think Jaehyuk will flourish from this and will be able to stand even more proudly in his queer identity. Garam has made this decision and won't hear Jaehyuk out, so it's his responsibility to fix it imo. A partnership means equal contribution. Step up or move on, Garam.

This update was wasted space. I'd have much preferred Taesung be left sobbing by himself while Haebom brushed past him in the alley, then timeskip to a year later to get the plot moving. That'd be much better than watching them nonsensically get it on while Taesung throws all consent out the window in the midst of this mess.

Atp, Bamwoo is being hurtful. Do they think so little of their readers that they believe we'd be begging for smut right now? Personally, I need answers, atonement, and accountability. If they're choosing to go down this path then please commit with sincerity. Don't add all these filler smutty scenes that go on for weeks. Get to the point and tell us wtf is going on. I think we readers have earned more straightforward storytelling given this season's awful development.

I agree that they both had points in this fight, however, I feel like folx are forgetting the context of recent events. Jay already came out to his parents, came out to the local gay community, started a new career, went to court fighting the evil ex, invested a lot of time and money in this relationship, and even got a permanent scar on his face. He has more than proven that this relationship matters to him, that he's truly in love, and that he's ready to take the next step by working through the hard stuff together. Garam, on the other hand, has past trauma that is constantly informing his decisions rather than addressing the here and now. Because of this, Jay has always been walking on eggshells to avoid Garam blowing up at him over typical relationship stuff. Garam is the one shooting this relationship in the foot by being rash and quick to anger, because he has no confidence or trust in others.

I do think Jay should have talked with Garam before outing them to his friends, but I do understand his point. The lies were only adding stress on their relationship. Plus, it sucks when you're out but your partner wants to stay in the closet indefinitely--that can be a real deal breaker.

When it comes down to it, this break was inevitable. Garam never truly opened himself up to this relationship and was never equally taking emotional or social risks. And just leaving entirely...that's fucking immature and hurtful. He can try to justify this as him doing what's best for Jay, but that's bullshit. Jay was right. Garam has no right to mansplain his own feelings back at him. Garam leaving is for Garam only. He's the one who's scared and chose to break the heart of someone who truly loves him. I'm looking forward to this chasing arc. I hope Jay stays out and flirts with other men while Garam reaps what he's sowed.

Here's my best guess for what happened...

I feel like a big secret was revealed to Haebom and he was then held in captivity. I've always assumed Taesung's mom was in love with Haebom's, so her dad (the grandpa) somehow orchestrated the accident that killed Haebom's parents. Taesung's mom knew this and then chose to adopt Haebom partly out of both love and guilt; she, him, and Taesung then officially left her father's house (influence). Ergo, it was his family's attachment to Taesung's that seals their fates.

After the wedding, we saw Taesung's mom warning the grandpa to back off--likely knowing he'd target Haebom again. Ultimately, the grandpa succeeded and abducted Haebom. The fearful part of me thinks that after telling Haebom the truth they proceeded to then torture him until he agreed to disappear and to never speak to Taesung's family again. Given his gaunt face and long hair, I'd assume he held out for a while and only recently was set free. So, the wound is very fresh.

I'm not a fan of this new season, tbh. The world is so dark and unfair already, so why would we extinguish something so bright and nice? What did we do to deserve this retcon meanness? (/TДT)/

They're always really hot...BUT I didn't need another sex scene! We need this origin story to move along and bring us back to the present. This whole season has been their past lives, while the present-day characters are lost in limbo! Please, for the love of god, keep it in their pants until we get some decent plot coverage.

The side story whitewashing and art change is bad enough. But, where are Taekseung's scars? They're never consistently on the correct side or visible at all in these side stories. IDK. This feels more like fanart.

SZN created a topic of Between the Lines

I actually agree with Juheon. Dohu needs to give him up and move on with his life. Juheon is suffering and choosing to endure it all alone. Dohu has offered to help, he's acknowledged past mistakes, he's stood up for Juheon, and he's worked himself to the bone only to be consistently told to fuck off. I respect that they're both going through shit, but only one of them is actively hurting the other for the past 4 years. Juheon's choice to ghost and shun Dohu with no explanation is torture and literally emotional abuse.

Dohu and Juheon were great together at one time, but Juheon's pride and paranoia fucked it up. If this relationship is gonna rebuild it's not gonna he Dohu's responsibility; so, it's best he leave this shit behind until Juheon decides to come back and fucking apologize.
