koreans are by far (as ive observed) one of the most aggressive people when it comes to historical accuracy and portrayal of important events. in their most of their great media, you can definitely see the carefulness put into creating them as to not offend those who have actually been affected during those times. You have got to open your eyes and brain to see that this situation isn’t just simply cancel culture being toxic. While hating isn’t okay, the setting, time, and place makes the premise of the story just ignorant to those who were affected. It’s like twisting the dark facts to suit the general audience’s taste.

apparently we’re around vol4-5 in the novel, haewon gets beat up after attempting to escape and just like it really does get worse. we’re so far from over i think ill just marinate this for a few more years
i thought this would be at least decent enough to read. sad to say i kinda wasted my time reading this. although thr catching of a murderer plot was quite entertaining, that plot just kinda fell flat. I mean, the whole story did a 180 when it was just a simple “change the future plot to become his husband,” i dont understand the reasoning behind the inclusion of the murder arc. yes, this would have been better if it were longer, that way that plot could have had more time to develop, and the story could have had a slow transition to that type of genre or vibe. overall i think the story was just all over the place (like my mind). I would definitely read this again just to see if my mind would change.
