ml...? it's an open ending, but she does end up fulfilling her promise about William (grooming the blonde's dog) and gets a confession from black hair. there maybe also a third one at some point. though honestly, when I first read this I was initially rooting for the blonde, because I thought the period difference was too much. but off the grapevine I heard a lot of the frustrating elements of this novel are because of him. he mistakes our MC as the monster of legend who stole her face and repeatedly tests her because of this.
Kinda understandable for the blonde hair mc to test and seek answers, because it is a possibility something can just use some else face. Plus, her not able to use her real name, and her maybe not clearing things up in private with her friend could play a part of misunderstandings. Plus, trama and guilt as well. But who knows
aside from her original name being on the deceased list, because she gave up her name to the cat zodiac, she just has the inability to express it.
she also holds the stance that bygones are not meant to hold back the 'living,' she has no intent in being acknowledged- so should wouldn't be aware that he is trying to sound her out because he's longing for their past
he also has his own reasons for not believing in her, he carries his own trauma after all of that. though this is just my speculation based on the information presented.
she was 40 in previous life
she is currently 10 at the start of the series
the black hair is 20. yes there is a 10 age difference, but I'd also thought to mention how it is another way around. and while they're in proximity, he has no involvement on how she grows up. yes her previous life transmigration makes her more mature, but based on the character development- it seems she's always carried herself with the same agency. more chapters has to be released to see where this goes. hf
