i usually avoid stories that have noncon but there's something about the atmosphere, writing, and tension in this one that i just really love. i feel like with a lot of "noir" bl lately that kept leaving me disappointed nothing else has given me what i felt while reading under the green light. i've been searching for manhwa that can assimilate that feeling again for me, and this might just be it
a lot of other bl use trauma in such a tacky way but in this you can feel how debilitating it is for the mc and how dealing with his depression is making him impulsive. his feelings for gitae are starting to overflow out of him but due to past trauma he is having a very hard time navigating through it. i feel like i could do more proper analysis on this but i just woke up lol. i'm really liking this and i hope this quality stays all throughout season ending
i actually kinda really like this even though the ml is exhibiting all kinds of codependent red flag shit but then again i also said the same thing about 2020 and it turned absolute dog water before season ending can't really trust bls anymore but i'm still hoping this one turns out good because i find their relationship kinda cute
i don't really trust my memory because it's been a few years but i just know that it started out really sweet and fluffy but by the end of the first season it just ended up total 180 like rape and total black flag bullshit. it also happens like almost no pretense whatsoever, i really thought it was going to be one of my favorite bls
hi im about to start this... are there any content warnings i should be wary of?
coercion and depending on how you view/understand both characters it could look like manipulation. biggest tw for thought rape, ml didn't act on it but the entire scene was very disturbing and disgusting. personally, this feels like we're watching the ml grow and learn to be a decent human being, definitely not everyone's cup of tea and normally not mine, either whatsoever... but for some reason I didn't dislike it and I can't wait for the second season. (for better reference, my list or just my profile is what I normally like so.. very green, very fluffy and mainly 'safe')
yes! the mc is an unreliable narrator- I won't spoil you but he's so pathetically panicked for his first ever crush and the author did a good job fleshing him out, especially. the ml is also gripping in a typical 'mysterious' way and I adore a nonchalant bottom. I hope you have it a try, though (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

just a little bit of trivia but ian's full name 하이안 (ha ian) sounds very similar to the word 하얀 (hayan) which means white. it's quite an interesting reference especially since the mc thought he was yoontae's first love before he figured out that it was himself
