I've asked this q so many times already but no one has answered me yet.
In what way is Tj actually BETTER than Jo as a love interest.
(I'm not tryna be rude or anything I just wanna know)
The answer with the ice cream flavors is actually the right answer. You’re looking at this like people usually get to choose who they fall in love with. They don’t. They just fall in love. Ian simply loved TJ in a way he’d never love Jo. Every chapter leading us to this point made that clear. That’s all there is to it.
TJ never treated Ian as a forlorn fellow who had to be handheld through everything but saw him for who he actually was and still loved him as is. He respected him as a full grown man even if he didn't agree with his choices. He tried his best to let him live his life. Jo on the other hand imposed very heteronormative values into their relationship like mostly seeing Ian as a perennial victim incapable of handling his own business. Jo literally admits that at the end Ian didn't seem so small anymore. Ian was never small Jo just rationalised Ian's "victimhood". He inserted himself in things he didn't fully understand from his relationship with Ian itself to the whole gang shit. Jo invited himself to Ian's house which is a stark contrast to how TJ is welcomed to THEIR home as an equal and not some unwanted guest. Jo's presence made shit that was bad worse how could Ian trust him to ever do the right thing for both of them? Guess who did the right thing for Ian and himself? TJ. Jo as a love interest is just like the title wet sand. He looks like a clean guy with no issues but a look closer he's just muddy. He is flawed and unfortunately doesn't even seem to realise that he is not the saint he believes he is in Ian's life. His presence only gave Ian peace and tranquillity for a short while in the end it literally made him even more anxious, Ian literally started having hallucinations that weren't even drug induced. He didn't deter Ian from the gangsta life, in the end it's TJ who did that with the deal with the bear guy. Jo didn't save Ian as most people perpetuated on here. I'm sorry but Jo quite literally did nearly nothing for Ian to substantiate the hype he gets. He mostly warmed Ian's bed and be a temporary escape and substitute for TJ. But that's what the story gave us so...
Bun ts bra.
I. Like, how do I even articulate how I'm feeling rn. I already ranted about this when the other chapter came out. But lowkirk ts don't even make sense. Putting Ian with someone who fucking BROKE HIS LEG when Jo like I don't mean to glaze but Jo would not like do ANYTHING to hurt Ian he only wants the best for him. Ian was sick of the like gangster mobster whatever you wanna call it life but it was only TJ who was keeping him there. Jo offered him a way out and a yk path to peace. It just doesn't make sense that Ian would end up with the epiphany of what he wanted to get away from. And now you just see Jo by himself and you can just tell he hasn't moved on and still cares sooooo deeply for Ian, only wishing him the best even after he left him. And it's so heartbreaking when in the other chapter he said "did you even love me?" And then Ian has the audacity to say yes, and even if he act did, he should give Jo the truth and tell him he'll leave him for 2 years and act loved TJ (which I believe it's because if Stockholm syndrome but that might just be me). I really love TJs character development but I personally believe that if someone has hurt you to the point you ended up with a broken leg, you can forgive them, but let them go. Sure he may never do it again, but that doesn't change the fact that he hurt you.
I'm just so genuinely curious I asked the q before and no one answered me maybe cus my rants are too long, but could a TJ lover pls tell me in what way is TJ BETTER than Jo as a love interest????
Not like that he changed or sum like in what way is he actually better???
IM SO MAD RN I SPENT SO LONG READING THIS SUPER COOL STORY BECAUSE I LOVED THE CHARACTERS DEEP BACKSTORIES AND PERSONALITY. IAN 100000% HAS STOCKHOLM SYNDROME CUS HE KEEPS GOING BACK TO THE. ONE. THING. HE. WANTS. TO. ESCAPE. AND WHEN JO ACTUALLY GIVES HIM THAT OPPORTUNITY, HE DECIDES "HM! MAYBE ILL GO WITH THE MAN WHO BROKE MY FUCKING LEG!" I THOUGHT "SURELY THE AUTHOR WOULD PUT IAN WITH SOMEONE WHO IS KIND, NEVER DID WRONG, LOVING, WOULD GIVE UP EVERYTHING FOR THAT MAN" BUT NOOOOOO HE GETS WITH MOLE RAT LOOKIN TJ IM SO MAD RN CUS HOW DID IAN HAVE THE AUDACITY TO SAY THAT HE LOVED JO BUT DIDN'T EVEN TELL JO THAT HE LOVED TJ AND WOULD LEAVE HIM FOR 2 FUCKING YEARS. IM JUST SO MAD RN CUS I SPENT SM OF MY TIME READING THIS JUST FOR THE WORST POSSIBLE OUTCOME COMING TRUE. I JUST WANNA KNOW HOW PEOPLE WHO WERE ROOTING FOR TJ OVER JO WAS THINKING??? IN WHAT WAY IS TJ BETTER THAN JO??? LIKE IM ACTUALLY CURIOUS SOMEONE PLS ANSWER CUS I NEED TO KNOW.
anyhow! I'm kinda mad, don't know if you can tell I'm sorry if this comes off as rude or anything, this is solely my opinion and my opinion only. I don't actually hate Tj THAT MUCH but I just really dislike his character because of what he done in the past. I get people can change but there is like no sector in which Tj is better than Jo. If you think that that's not the case, I'd like to genuinely know.
Spent my sweet time reading this bs I thought it'd have sum cool story but why tf make it omegaverse, like I don't have a problem with omegaverse but majority of the time when there is an omega there will be a power imbalance and that's what happens here. Rape is disgusting and inexcusable whether they are in heat or not. TS is disgusting and I don't recommend in any shape or form.
I'm so fucking sorry like TJ character development is sick and all but oml PLS JUST LEAVE IAN ALONEEEEJENDJJE.
Ian has to have like Stockholm syndrome atp because he keeps going back to him after ALL THE SHIT HE PUT HIM THRO.
I understand people saying that they want Jo to be happy but that would mean Ian would be with TJ and the whole cycle WOULD JUST REPEATTT. TJ as a character is interesting and deep but not as a love interest.
TJ is practically the cause of Ian's suffering and the only reason why he keeps going back is because THATS ALL HE KNOWS.
Jo would genuinely actually take good care of Ian, ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE RATHER THAN TAKING YEARS LIKE A CERTAIN SOMEONE, have Ian's wants in mind rather than just his own.
I believe that Ian would genuinely be happy with Jo in the long run rather feeling safe being stuck in a unhealthy relationship.
It's not like I want TJ to die but it would make sense in the story but like maybe they can just be friends while Ian and Jo are in a happy and healthy relationship
I know I'm not the only one who thinks this but it's a surprising small amount of people who don't want TJ. Like ig he's growing but he's practically the exact thing Ian wants to escape from. I feel like Jo would be the one who would actually give him the peaceful life he had been searching for and you can just see how happy Ian is with Jo but when with TJ he feels so many different emotions wether good or bad
I just lowkie feel bad for Ian and Jo hopefully they can escape this lifestyle and just be happy together with no more drama or violence.

I actually fucking can't. This is the cutest shit I've ever read. THE LOVE IN THEUR EYESSAS OMGGGG BRO WHY CANT EVERY YAOI BE LIKE THIS
