Nah this was good in the beginning now it's just redundant. It's not a pretentious take when it's absolutely true that this blew up for a time. I understand the author wanting to keep the audience coming with the childhood friend gimmick back to back but it's making the story convoluted garbage.

I'll never believe in shitting on the author. They're well within their right to write however they want. Wetsand is not perfect but gives you everything you need to know whether explicitly or implicitly. Season three the part people claim it fell off is meant to be carthatic, where the characters come to terms with the reality of their feelings and the future they want. And it happens for all three especially Jo. He realises as much as he loves Ian he can't give Ian the happiness Ian wants and they'll never be truly happy and he'll never be enough for him and he lets go. Two years later without tears and sadness he wishes Ian happiness. Mans moved on. The story doesn't have plot holes some of you just don't want to read the subtext cz it doesn't align with the narrative you wanted.
As a reader you are allowed your right to your own opinions but that is where your rights and freedoms start and end. You have no right to insult the author and other readers for not agreeing with you. Don't be mad other readers jumping you for being a disrespectful shithead. Don't act shocked when the author calls you out for being shit and blocking you. It's a natural reaction to bullshit.
