imo ians journey was never about moving on from tj. it was about taking charge of his own life instead of blaming his fate for everything, & about actually coming to terms with his past while being able to leave it behind. tj was never ians past though, even in the v beginning he implied he'll leave "for a few years", which he did end up doing in the end. moreover, if the basis of the story was ian leaving tj & the gang, then the story couldve ended around s2 bc tj had basically pushed him out of his life and the gang, so ian couldve left. instead ian spent the season searching for tj. i can see why people think tj was the Big Bad guy, the main evil in the story and Jo was clark kent coming to save ian, but that was never the authors intention, and she made this v clear from the beginning. she said the story's about all three people changing, not about one saving the other. thank you for coming to my ted talk ill be back w more in a bit <3

PIXELS. joseph landi will be fine bc he doesn't exist. ian will not be miserable for the rest of his life bc he's not real. but the author is real. i feel like a broken record bc ive been repeating this for the past few weeks, which proves that the resentment has been bubbling up for weeks, but there's a huge line between criticism and harassment. anyway shout out to people who feel disappointed but can still decipher the line between fiction and reality. bare minimum but its crazy how rare it is.

It got ugly and people started being vile. After Ian left parted ways with Jo at the gas station I decided to stay off Twitter until the story officially ends and a while has passed. I can imagine how badly people are crashing out. I’ve always liked TJ over Jo, however I never made it a deal breaker on my final opinion once the story ended. I feel for the author as I can only imagine the horrible comments she’s getting. Despite being very rey clear from the beginning that nothing has changed from when the story was originally written.

hmm ive been the BIGGEST tjian truther for years so im happy as fuck obv BUTTTT. the ending was sozosososo rushed sigh i could tell tj was the endgame for a while but she just skipped over so many plot points. there was foreshadowing for jo to be more than a plot device but that's what he was till the end, important parts were rushed over, s3 js sucked as a whole honestly. which does make me think maybe she's in a hurry bc the fandoms getting to her now....... even rn she's been getting told to kill herself and people are talking shit about her father etc. so its pretty disheartening.
Honestly, Jo’s character feels like he was so fucking useless to create now. I get people like Tj which is fine but I really don’t like how he treated Ian and Ian just accepted it. I personally would’ve been fine if Jo wasn’t created at all, because it feels like a copout type of response for someone who isn’t willing to work on themselves and go back to the old ways they used to be in

I’m gonna be real as just a bystander, the author enabled both ends of the ship wars and both would’ve harassed her because of how toxic it’s become. I do not doubt at all that TJ stans would be doing the very same thing if the endgame didn’t go how they liked.
Ultimately, it’s because the story strung both ship fandoms along until the very last second. Other love triangle stories make it very clear by at least the end the second to the last season which ship would win. Even Twilight had more sense to make it clear that Edward would be with Bella and Jacob’s got no chance.

From what I’ve seen, everyone’s been toxic. It’s why I never bothered touching this series, tho I like to peek to see the drama. Now, what I see is that one side lost and is being toxic to the author beyond valid criticism, and one side won and is coddling the author acting like they wouldn’t be toxic if they hadn’t won.
