For clarification with what context we have now (no spoilers)
There are 3 timelines:
TL1 - Sayoung never awakened and died, J asked Yeseong to make him a memorial dungeon where J's memories of them living together are used (to cope, because he can't keep saving people anymore if his only success is dead). J turns back time successfully because of the apocalypse.
TL2 - This is the timeline that we see in Gaeul's fragment. J died instead and Sayoung turned back time because of the apocalypse. But for some reason, Sayoung is still there wandering about.
TL3 - This is the current timeline, and the last chance for them to solve everything.
Gaeul meets TL2 Sayoung and helps her not get lost, then disappears. TL3 J tries to save her but ends up getting stuck in TL1 J's memorial dungeon, and TL3 Sayoung gets dragged in too. For the memorial dungeon to end, the day has to end. They both get out but is still technically in a memorial dungeon (TL2). They kissed then they try to find Gaeul. TL3 J thinks of the watch and wants to get back to the restaurant to check out its description to find clues.

I'm happy that the kiss got adapted. But honestly, I was expecting more from it. In the novel, they were full on making out with tongues. J's Basilisk's poison notif kept popping up with "detoxifying", and lastly, J described Sayoung as "he tasted sweet."
Is it the age rating? Would it change next season? Since they're gonna be making out A LOT after lol
Anyway, more reason to read the novel. It's MUCH much more detailed there with their thoughts and actions
the age rating shouldn't be a problem since both the novel and manhwa are rated the same... i'm really disappointed with how it was adapted :( now i'm afraid of the beanbag scene getting censored next season ╥﹏╥
Maybe it's different because the manhwa is a visual so it would be more graphic? I hope they adapt it a bit better next season

The violet eyes, now focused, were filled with nothing but Cha Eui-jae.

Cha Eui-jae slowly pulled away from the kiss, his hand releasing Lee Sa-young’s grip. But just as he began to move, a large hand grabbed his wrist tightly. Their eyes met.
Cha Eui-jae spoke.
“…I told you, I have skills.”

“I don’t lie like someone else.”
The warmth of Lee Sa-young’s hand crept between Cha Eui-jae’s fingers. His strong arms wrapped around Cha Eui-jae’s waist. The violet eyes gleamed fiercely, as if they would devour him, and the lips, swollen and red, parted. A cracked voice sweetly whispered, almost as if in seduction.
“Not yet.”
“…”
“Just a little longer.”

Lee Sa-young.
Cha Eui-jae’s only success.
And…
Cha Eui-jae slowly leaned down. Something soft slipped between Lee Sa-young’s slightly parted lips, their tongues tangling as a wet sound echoed between them. Each time Lee Sa-young’s dark tongue rubbed against the roof of his mouth, Cha Eui-jae’s body jolted.
