Maybe it’s because this season has been going on for what feels like forever, but it genuinely seems like s2 is essentially a “re-write” of s1. Is it that ML is a child because he was in high-school when he first met MC who was either in middle school or elementary? Cause that’s what it seemed like to me, and it made me uncomfortable. If they explained their ages in further chapters, cause I dropped it, then okay. I just, personally, can’t stand (way)younger x (way)older meet-cute tropes; when one looks like a literal child and the other looks well above the age range in BL.
Oooh I love how the author took note and agreed on how conflicting and narratively disruptive that scene was; their response was so level-headed. You literally don’t get/see that type of response to reader feedback in these author notes, especially when it comes to this genre of writing; loved that deeply.
