Honestly idk why people are mad about Youngjo moving to Germany, his old company was SHIET. He himself was a SHIET boss, and any company that’s allowing their superiors to yell, scream, slap, and throw things at their employees is not a place anyone should be. Someone literally has a permanent scar on his face because Youngjo used him as an ASHTRAY. Him being forced into team 3 because they couldn’t get rid of him but didn’t want to promote him was so fucking toxic, and they only changed their tune when he started making more money than team 1/team 2. Even the fact one of the women only landed in team 3 due to being in a work relationship while Youngjo’s old boss got a promotion instead reeks of misogyny.
Thank fuck Hyunwoo made him realize he’s deadass abusing his employees and constructive criticism gets better results. I found it so ironic Youngjo was praising Hyunwoo for wanting to empathize with people when he can’t because tons of people choose not to when they can, when he was literally someone who chose not to empathize with people and even pouring coffee on their heads.

I really dislike how ASPD is characterized in a lot of media, because it is a nuanced topic. I felt it was quite refreshing the author chose to make Hyunwoo someone who wanted to understand others even though he struggled to. I think it also opened a dynamic I think most relationships should have as well, where instead of always just reading their partners face or gestures, it’s healthy to be able to say it out loud and make it clear whether something is liked or disliked.
I also just like BDSM dynamics in stories, and this one didn’t have rape/dubious consent which is so rare to find in a lot of BDSM manhwas. I like how safe words/gestures were used annd respected, and each of the characters had moments where they revoked their consent and they explained why before continuing.
Both of them amplified each others freaks, like normally I would think the jealousy playing into their bedroom is super toxic but Youngjo was super into it and as long as Hyunwoo didn’t cross any boundaries it’s a fine trait to have.

But I think it makes a lot more sense he ended up with Seowoo. Even from the very beginning what made Ohn fall for the twins in the first place was him thinking they were genuine about their feelings and every time he thought that was when Seowoo had strong reactions when interacting with him. It also seems like he had some unresolved issues with Jaewoo from the start.
With Jaewoo seeing Ohn get bullied and not doing anything (even though he understands and admits there were no expectations) and even his own brother getting bullied it’s clear he just sidelined when he was fully capable and willing to help in certain circumstances (when he saved Ohn after he already fell for him). It’s not like I expected him to go in and fight those bullies himself, but it’s really discouraging just getting bullied while others just pretend you don’t exist. You could’ve at the least called for a teacher if it was happening on school grounds. This just makes Seowoo more relatable to Ohn since he was also getting bullied. This isn’t to mention his prejudice about Ohn being women-crazy when that was part of why he was getting bullied in the first place. Ohn already knew Jaewoo treated him harshly before he was pretending to be his brother. I think the author really wanted to keep the story light and focus more on change rather than dwelling on the past, but there was a lot more backstory readers could easily intuit.

I think it's to further enhance how Penelope's limited and skewed perspective at the start of the story led to erroneous judgment calls, as well as she hadn't really pivoted to thinking of the people as people and not just characters. Her logic at the time of choosing Eclis made sense from a purely player perspective. It just got twisted along the way as he turned out to be a very real and very traumatized person who already lost absolutely everything, put all his eggs in one basket (her), and then felt like he had it ripped out from under him again. Eclis is definitely a psycho, but it was Penelope's own actions that contributed to sending him down that spiral by finding him at his lowest, picking him back up, and continuously manipulating him. He wasn't a psycho in the game, after all, or at least that we saw. He's the foil to the prince, who she initially saw as a total psycho but warmed up to as she realized he was more reasonable and human than she'd initially believed.
Penelope is in a game simulator where she believed that in order to escape the game, she needs to romance someone to 100%– she chose Eckles to be that person. what she didnt realize is that reaching 100% didn't get her out of the game, but Eckles is too far gone to turn back. The point the author is trying to make is that 99% love (where Eckles is at rn) is not love, it's obsession and it can drive someone mad. If I remember correctly, the prince is somewhere around the early 80s–so his love for penelope hasn't reached obsession levels. If penelope hadn't romanced Eckles the way she did, perhaps he'd be a normal guy like the prince.
I don't think that's the point. The colors of their affection meter indicate the type of love they have. Eckles has always had obsessive type of love and Kalisto always had passion type of love. It's just that Penelope realised it late.
Now that I think, I guess it was doomed from the start. Had the meaning of the colors been revealed from the beginning maybe it wouldn't have come to this mess we have now. The game was pretty nasty to hide things from Penelope. She eventually uncovered why the characters behave the way they do, why she was in the game, etc but it's already pretty late and she has already suffered from much.
