I m mangas reader and I use it since ages I m using yaoi , and it's Korean/or any other webtoon made BL word cuz they can't use copyright of yaoi that Japan made in way back in 60s

BL is a much less problematic term in my opinion. Even manga publishing companies are starting to stray away from the term and opt for BL instead. BL is also alot more universal it is literally any fictional media that depicts an mlm relationship. A good example of the misuse of the word yaoi would be with Yuri on ice. People describe things like yuri on ice as a yaoi when its really just a sports anime with BL. Given the problematic nature of the word i feel it'd be more appropriate and respectful to use it rather than just watering it down to some "yaoi", ygm?

You know na there is word called shounen ai ? Shounen ai depict so much emotions it's not soley yaoi tht could be use mlm love .

I feel like you missed my point but its fine. shounen ai directly translates to boys love, but can also be translated as a term for romantic relationships between young boys and older men. https://futekiya.com/what-is-shounen-ai/ this article sums it up pretty well, and also outlines how much BL is used outside of western audiences.

Okay I didn't mean to be rude but u said yaoi word is outdated which I prolly meant to ask why u think tht it's outdated let the shounen ai be out of it , BL used for outside audience who personally do not want to use yaoi word .

sorry to butt in but yaoi is outdated because it's hardly even used in japan anymore outside of some doujinshi sites. the term refers to mlm parody fan work doujinshi with no plot and it's not necessarily sexual. the "sexual yaoi" and the "pure wholesome fluffy shounen ai" are just made up by western fan spaces. (ironic how shounen ai is actually about pederasty and pedophilia.) it's better to just call them all BL. you can always use nsfw or sfw if you want to make a distinction between those with sex scenes and those that don't. cmiiw

i mean yeah it's your choice. it's just that it has typically terrible connotations as a result of all the twisting and stretching westerners do to its meaning, just like with the term fujoshi. but go on, i can't really stop you from continuing to misuse and appropriate the japanese langauge
