From a writers point of view, I am 99% sure that Potato will NOT act the same as Dan did in the relationship he now stumbled into.
As a writer, it wouldn't make sense to write the same story basically again, just with different looking guys. The most logical way to go for writing would be to make them BOTH act entirely differently than the main couple.
This author's writing is decent in alot of ways, so I'm pretty sure nobody has to worry about Potato and Pretty Boy having the exact same couple dynamics and drama. Most of the time writers choose NOT to even include drama in the side couples, so that's another thing to keep in mind for them.
Side couples are essentially there to further a cliffhanger and drag out a story or just satisfy curiousity about potentially hinted couples. So I hope these two will have a short, sweet get-together arc and then be a legit better couple than the mains. X'D
As a fellow writer this IS the most logical, but as per usual, there's always odd ones out somewhere, so I could be wrong and that 1% comes back to laugh at me as their story unfolds. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

From a writers point of view there ARE many decent aspects of how it's written overall.
Whether people like the people in the story or not does simply not matter for this.
And there is a big difference between using the same core plotline or character dynamic and copying a story. Also a huge difference between writing SPERATE COMICS and having a main and side couple. Which this post is about. Side couples, for writers, are used to change up the story for a moment and have different character dynamics for a while instead of using the exact same dynamic the main couple has. They may still be similar in ways, but not the exact same. That isn't something writers usually do as it makes no sense. Kinda like going to a restaurant and eating a pizza and as a sidedish you order a pizza as well. Sure it's nice, but it makes no sense for a palette cleanser. XD
Again, you need to ignore the other comics this author has made. They do not matter for what I was talking about. This auhtor clearly likes the more drastic and dramatic stories, which is perfectly fine, but that doesn't mean they'll make the mistake of using the exact same dynamic for characters when working on the side couple. Both characters are already clearly different from the main couple. Pretty Boy is not a nutjob like JJ and Potato is not a complete doormat like Dan. That paired with potato going into a 'suprise one nightstand' and literally reacting to it with "Ah, fuck it, let's just do this." is already an entirely different setup for them both and doesn't even allow for the same dynamic to begin with.
Plus, Potato is quite innocent and bold, which was an otherworldly experience for Pretty Boy. And his reaction to Potato's bold claim of 'taking responsibility' gave a surprising reaction and made clear he's nuch more mellow in his behavior overall and more of a casual guy that prefers distance (which I asume is what his 'playing around and tossing them away' aspect roots from).
Overall it's important to differentiate between different stories. I am simply talking about basic writing rules here of not using the same story WITHIN the same story. The author going for this dynamic for another comic has zero to do with it all really. And liking or not liking the characters/story's core doesn't matter for the level of writing either. Those are two things that have zero to do with one another.

Ehmmm I don’t think the comment is comparing both works like Bj Alex and Jinx, but it is comparing two different characters in the same work in this case Jinx, and stating how these characters logically should be written differently seeing how they act differently as well, so you bringing in Bj Alex really doesn’t relate to what the person is saying, as Bj Alex wasn’t mentioned or any character from that work. I hope the story keeps being awesome. Love the Werewolf stuff we got going, tho it DID really hit me outta left field since there is a fantasy/unnatural tag missing. XD
Within 3 chapters only, there are quite a few obvious and annoying holes in the writing. And It has nothing to do with anything being lost in translation.
It's not the worst but it certainly breaks immersion every time and it's quite annoying after awhile. Really not a fan of that.
Doesn't feel like a typical rushed thing either, because the author watsed so much time on other stuff they could have easily cut that these holes stand out even more so.
I hope this doesn't keep happening because breaking immersion every chapter is really not making this a pleasant read.
The base plot is super interesting, tho the MC's personality is pretty trashy, so I really want to keep reading this. (Might want to wait for official translations tho, not sure.)

It'd be nice to have a story with this mental problem again but the start of this story doesn't give me high hopes tbh. It's a very mish-mash display, like someone just read up on the disorder real quick and then went to writing the story. Because he's more of a clean freak with VERY few mysophobic MOMENTS rather than a full on mysophobia-ridden person. ^^;
I suspect the mental problem is only used as a 'fun gimmick' for the story and some scenes, which doesn't sit well with me tbh but for people who don't care or don't know the problem and how it really is irl this probably doesn't matter.
So, this is a case by case point that can make the story a normal read or maybe give minus points in ratings I suppose.

Well "Ten Count" is a smut bl and has near to accurate mysophobia/ocd display. No wonder it's among the most famous bl mangas. It all comes down to if the author's will.
Very true, that was the first one I came across after having this problem myself for a few years! That's why I liked it so much, the depiction was much more accurate and the obvious focus. Still had it's flaws here and there but it did an amazing job in portraying this problem in realistic terms. :)
It's not too common anymore that authors actually bother researching and correctly portraying mental problems, illnesses or traumas, etc.. It's become the norm to just barely google what the gimmick they wanna use is like. Kinda sad tbh. Going the extra step to make it realistic in detail always makes the story better (and more popular).
Seeing the physchological tag as well as the weird vibes the seme gives makes me really think there's bullshit waiting around the corner. （￣へ￣）

Kang already has worries about being left by his partners all the time, a literal younger version of him showing up in Yiyoung's life might make for an emotional breakdown scene, him turning away and giving up again on his love (as he did all the time before) or simply just a raging jealousy arc of him marking his territory. XD
My bets are on a mix of the latter and the middle tbh.
