I personally think it’s worth reading. It just ended too with this chapter so now is the perfect time to read it. There are funny moments, sad moments and happy moments. All worth it
??? So he went back in time just to be abused worse by his abuser??????? Wtf??? 5 ch. in and all I've seen is rape rape rape, no real plot… and how tf past him fell for the esper? After 3 years of being kidnapped and meeting the esper just to be raped daily, he now rapes you while showing his pretty face and THAT does it?
I enjoy past lives stories cause usually the evil seme is reformed but wtf…
I honestly hated the beginning, but as i kept reading I get why the author made the ml all rapey. Its cus its not considered rape amongst the awakened in this universe in the first place. Its like common sense, we know things are good or bad w common sense and our feeling/reaction to the situation, but the ML or any awakened in that universe doesn’t understand that rape and sexual abuse etc are bad cus they were taught that its a necessity for them to survive. I mean they literally get offed if they just fail their training or if smt is wrong w them while in training. So guiding for them is a means of survival (kinda like eating) and sex happens to be the most effective (like eating nutritious AND tasty food) that they need in order to perform well on the battles, would u ever consider cutting of plants, boiling it and frying it bad? Or a lion eating a deer bad? Ofc thats not to say i am justifying his actions to excuse him but just explaining why he does it and why it makes sense in that universe.

That part is very clear and established from the beginning, I always argue that most of the "rape" in BL don't get treated as rape because the setting/world building, even in slice of life, usually works with specific definitions of it and should not be analyzed under the expectations of verisimillitude.
I do justify his actions, suspending the disbelief and accepting the internal rules of the narrative — it doesn't work under the same machinations as real life, it's like how we treat little kids fighting in kindergarten and adults fist fight on the streets with very different approaches. Is he still an abuser to the uke? Yes. Is what he's doing socially normal for his position? Also yes.
My issue is with the uke and specially the story being told. What was the point of time traveling/past life if it just doesn't matter to the large portion of the story?
The first life he went through mind-breaking, clearly, but his second life we expect something to change, some agency, but everything just becomes worse and he doesn't try to do anything. There's just no positives for the audience, him going back in time means nothing to the relationship.
Maybe there is some relevant plot that depends on it, but considering most chapters were straight up smut and the past life had uke kept in captivity with no outside contact, I can't see any significant weight. If it does matter then it's over something VERY specific, because from what I saw it was just an excuse for the uke to already be in love with his abuser.
We could simply have the uke be a bit better informed ("they say espers are weird about sex and views it athe same as applying medicine") and the result would be exactly the same.
Him coming back to the past gave him better understanding of the structure of the awaked world, which helped uke in processing things himself rather than just staying stuck, in explaining or “training” the seme the common sense accordingly. It helped progress their relationship (which is v necessary for their world cus ml is damn powerful and they need him to survive) and idk if u continued reading but it also helped w managing the dungeon disaster that prevented many deaths and resignation of individuals that matter. The plot and storyline is still ongoing, but u can see how it helps. Also as i mentioned, my explaination was just for an understanding of this world building, i would never excuse him for raping. And Ofc this scenario would never apply to the real world because we don’t have monsters or NEED sex to survive. It wouldn’t make sense to compare.

Like I said, I dropped cause I knew this was going to annoy me. So I decided to skim through it. I went through chapters 26-33.
IF I wanted to play the devil's advocate I could easily say he's to blame for leaving the drugs there, but not for anything else. Kinda like The Drama (2026), if the gun had accidentally gone off while Emma was at school. She had already given up on the mass shooting, even if she had prepared for it, she wasn't going to go through with it anymore.
He did spike the drink, but he gave up on that and was going to throw it out, he didn't give it to the boss nor did he mean for the boss to drink it anymore. Dude had gone back on his decision BEFORE it caused any harm and wasn't gonna go through with it no more. Everything that happened after that was on the pheromones, and we've seen the pov of an alpha in rut shown in a previous chapter — they can't hear, their senses are dulled, their consciousness reduced and they can't keep any line of thought.
But I ain't no devil's advocate so I'm really whatever about it all. That one Simone Weil quote about imaginary evil vs. real evil and all, characters with messed up morals are so interesting and, God! Am I curious about him?
He left his family for the rival company, worked under an omega, felt bad about being attracted to him, planned to assault him, gave up on that idea, it still came to bite him in the ass, got beaten up (deservedly), but instead of leaving, is is still somehow involved in the main plot, and I don't really get the thing with the other black haired character (cause I just skimmed), but like, I'm much more invested with his plot/storyline than the main one, like yeah Mc gotta get pregnant and have a baby but he doesn't want it to be from his biggest in-company rival, whom he regularly fucks, cool, can we talk about the industrial espionage or wtv going on in the other half?
He's not interesting enough for me to keep reading, tho, specially because I just find the alpha annoying, not for any "real" reasons, he's just the type of character that makes me roll my eyes, down to his design.
He's so ugly and pathetic that it kinda circles back to being almost endearing. Like a little weird bug.

i think this is an example of moral ambiguity. the story makes you question whether the mc's idea of justice is actually righteous or if he's justifying his own actions. you're annoyed by his self-righteousness, but that also makes you curious about where his mindset will lead him. i feel like the story is intentionally making us uncomfortable instead of giving us a protagonist we're supposed to blindly agree with.
I agree. And the fact that he's just a middle schooler with somewhat innocent features, but shows few expressions on his face and is surrounded by a terrifying aura... it just makes the reader feel uneasy, questioning whether they should follow this MC. But all of this shows that it's hard to have a 'perfect hero' in this flawed world...
Genuinely annoyed because it's so repetitive, I need the uke to get some divine (AND LEGAL) retribution
