I think authors should signal in some way when an alleged alphaXalpha is actually going to be bitching. God, it's so disappointing to find something you love just to figure out it is something you hate.
You're totally justified in disliking it if that's what you want, but it's different from a typical A x O relationship in terms of internal power dynamics and also societal pushback by people who think it's abnormal. Jaeha had to struggle with the fact that he straight up *wanted* to bottom for someone, and everyone thinks they're gross for getting married. A x O wouldn't have to deal with that.
I'm specifically talking about alpha turning into an Omega/bitching; what you've described is typical of alpha x alpha anyway, and that's not what I'm referencing, mind you.
What I'm asking if the end goal is still mpreg, why go this route? There's a lot of readers including myself who enjoy a good AxA, and we deserve a warning if the story is meant to be just an eventual alpha turning into an Omega.
Let me add my 2 cents. Warning, ppl often dislike when I bring this up, but since we are already having this conversation…
Personally, I dislike romanticized bitching because I feel like it's saying "alpha X alpha so wrong that if you truly want to be with another alpha and try to do so nature will "correct" you and make you into an omega".
I KNOW it's just sex, it's smut, I shouldn't be thinking so much, but I feel like that meme "trying to be chill at the function but cant help noticing how misogyny bleeds through the cracks of normal interactions."
Romanticized bitching often feels like "fixing" a broken alpha into an omega, because same (secondary)sex relationships are wrong and if you experience this type of attraction, no you don't, you actually want to be an omega. (and if that sounds like a homophobic rhetoric to you, it's bcs it is).
[or, worse, some stories feel like they are saying an alpha can only be fully, truly loved by another alpha if he changes who you are (eg.: alpha only being able to pursue another alpha because he smells like an omega); I've only read one good alpha-turns-omega and it was only good because he always felt like an omega, always wanted to present as an omega, it felt like a Trans-omega instead of a conditional to love/be loved by another alpha or a consequence of the "choice/crime" of loving another alpha.]
So, yeah, it includes things your typical alpha X omega doesn't, but at the end of the day I feel it just reinforces its normative ideals. While traditional romantic αβΩ is easy to overlook the glaring issues in favor of a sexy excuse for gratuitous smut, bitching feels like I'm forced to acknowledge all the sexist (misogynistic, homophobic, amatonormative, anti-non monogamy, etc) problems imbued in the genre…
What in the actual heck is "bitching"? It honestly just sounds offensive. O.o I'm gonna assume you haven't read the novel though, because in the case of this story, it's not a matter of "nature correcting" Jaeha into an omega or anything of the sort. But I don't want to give too many spoilers, because it's a major plot point.
Yall, I was in the bus and I opened the browser completely forgetting I had left this open lmao
Did you at least have a chance to close it before the tab loaded . I’ve gone threw that many times where I opened my phone or my browser and a porn tab or Yaoi pops up but I close usually it before it loads so none notices. Worst instances were in the middle of class in highschool and my mom staring at my phone over my shoulder because I said I had something to show her.
No . I wouldn’t have lived to tell the tale, either she would’ve taken me out or I would’ve done it myself. I don’t think anyone was looking when I was in class and when my mom was looking I closed it so fast that I blinked and it was gone. She didn’t react so I don’t think she noticed but if she did I doubt she even saw what the url said before I closed it

Started watching mercy for none then I see a circle fight and wait a minute!!!
