I've been trying to read them but I came to a horrid conclusion: I dislike romance in my adventure when it's too in your face, even if it's yaoi. So please, rec me some where the BL is secondary to the adventure. Like, the protag just happens to like men.
I know that's hard, so I'm also open to heavy bromance with no romance (but like Heavy, central to the story like orv's joongdok, s-classes' hjyj, 2nd male lead's cedryeseo)
I've tried "Follow the sheep into the abyss" and got super stressed; once the romance started in "The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly" I think it became TOO cebtral; and I'm reading and liking "I'm the villain constellation but I'm broke" but it was still too in your face from the very beginning.
I enjoyed the webtoon "the 11th class trip pace" and I like the pace and world building/setting of the side esper au from Sketch
i have created a rec list with action packed BL
https://www.novelupdates.com/viewlist/144590/
some of them do have their relationship as the centre of the plot (Perennial Species). if you're a fan of meta narrative like orv, you should try If You Don't Become Main Character, You'll Die. my specific rec for you is The Hero's Coffin, their relationship is subtle but only really start after the whole journey ends.
I hope at least one of my recs suit your taste! Have fun reading!
since you also ask non BL yet leaningly bromance, i would recommend
https://www.novelupdates.com/series/theatrical-regression-life/
the mc is middle aged (late 40s), hes reincarnated into a novel where his character and his company team got transported to a silent hill-esque world where they need to survive.
honestly ive dropped this early on bc the writing style doesnt suit my brain but you could clearly feel the twisted chemistry between mc and og protag, how they trauma bond through monster attacks, and how the og protag is obsessed on keeping mc alive after seeing mc's death and regressing. beware that mc and og protagonist is very manipulative it will hurt your brain, theyre a very unreliable narrators. side characters in this one is also ***annoyingly*** human
sorry for the annoyin long replies, i hope u like it
return of mount hua on webtoon!!! trust and this peak: https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/got_dropped_into_a_ghost_story_still_gotta_work_novel/

the last two are like dokja and yoojin. mfs who think unaliving themselves is the best solution
I don't think it's all gone? I think it might be just a bad gateway? Like, not lost, just crosspaths not sending the info to the right places, that's why some basic commands (like liking a comment, seeing all topics, visiting profiles) are failing. Let's see if it will come back once it stabilizes or if we are going through the second great purge
I think you are probably right because some functions such notifs were working for me when the site came back up but they just stopped working. I can’t even click on my profile so I’m guessing it’s just bad gateway + an influx of people constantly reloading the site because everyone is freaking out.
Dramatic (can be dark, heavy, tragic, or just introspective), 30 or more chapters, no (or very little) sex. Please!!
(I'm also open to any 30+ ch completed shounen-ai of any genre)
I should've specified I'm looking for kr/jp only, that's on me, rly sorry. Still, thank you so much for taking the time to get the link and rec to me, much appreciated !
[ch tend to always do one of the cliches I really dislike (mainly everything being predestined like past life/childhood sweethearts, or even memory loss), and even meaker perfect pure innocent almost child-like in naïvete and build Mary sue uke. I'm yet to find one that I like and don't just read for the comedy >.<']

I just watched femme (2023) and I would really love a BL like that but where they end up tgt.
I'm looking for psychological, gay homophobe seme (I can go for bi but most bi dudes with internalize homophobia just repress real hard or don't realize they are bi, while gay dudes usually know and often are sneaking around), NOT comedy. Toxic toxic toxic, if not entirely, at least in the beginning. Yay for violence, and preferably nay for rape (although I can take dubcon if it fits the bill).
Whole movie spoilers ahead
In femme we gave a drag queen and a closeted homophobe who beats her up to "defend his honor" and keep the straight pretense. Then, the drag sees him in a gay sauna and goes after him, they hook up (out of drag ofc) and she decides to out him filming a porn. But they end up developing feelings, she heals enough to be able to do drag again and gives up on outing the guy through revenge porn, while he matures enough to be able to go to a gay club to celebrate the birthday of the guy he likes. But then he sees her in drag and she tells a joke about her gay agressor (him). Hurt, he confronts her after, believing everything they had tgt was fake and then they fist fight, he tries to kill her but can't go through and just cries on the floor like a baby while she walks away apparently also unwell. Later we see her opening his gift the morning after.
Because of how it ends, we can imagine that maybe he'd overcome his internalized homophobic for her once he left the place he was living, or maybe they do get back tgt and just stay toxic. It's so good and the actors are soooo beautiful.
