Yo why are 99.9% of bls/gls from the perspective of the bottom? Some of us are tops and want to read about tops Not hating on bottoms but if I read one more bait top-turned-bottom story I’m gonna lose my mind. Please drop a rec (bl or gl) if you have one
call me old fashioned but i was raised to serve my wife. i clean the dishes and cook her food. i do whatever she says because she is my wife and she makes the rules around the house. she owns me. i am her property. if she ever cheats on me its because i was lacking.
Ever since the reading list purge I can’t find this one supernatural BL, iirc two childhood friends reunite and one of them is an exorcist? And there’s a whole thing in which they’re trying to exorcise a bunch of ghosts by allowing it to possess one of them and fulfilling its wishes. I’d really appreciate it if someone gave me the name

u can practically hear cicadas while reading this
astonishing, quality work. Love it when something is obviously made with love. Small details like jiho’s phone being cracked gives a real sense of life to a character. I also like how both of them have certain moments of disliking/being irritated by something the other said/did. It really reflects the unromanticism of being disappointed when you get to know people…I think I can just really appreciate how realistic it all feels. Reminds me a bit of the movie Before Sunrise :D
Haneul as a noona makes my heart jump. Id date him if he were a girl too cmon
I’ve been playing league of legends for 6 years and didn’t realize apocalypse imoogi was a reference to baron nashor until translator pointed it out smfh
honestly the concept would be really sweet if this didn’t develop romantically, lol. Seju healing his trauma of his younger sister and so forth. Not complaining just sayin I feel like it would be equally good (if not better) if this was a story about familial love/found family. Idk maybe falling for the person raising you is too Freudian for me. Love this tho, the bar is low but I’m just grateful seju isn’t a pervert lmao
“You look and act like a little kid” is a crazy statement to make about your supposed love interest
obviously this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but the story itself would have been far better if it wasn’t romantic. If absolutely nothing changes but Artemiy is a parental figure instead of a romantic one, lol. The sex scene felt so awkward and uncomfortable to me, everyone calling AJ a “kid” makes it feel weird. That being said, everything else is great. It feels like a shame that this ex-teacher and student dynamic isn’t more like Breaking Bad, lmao. I really just couldn’t be bothered with this romance in this, but enjoyed it otherwise
I was deceived into reading omegaverse but I thugged it out only to be disappointed as always. Classic repackaging of the patriarchy and dehumanization of the ‘feminine’ sex. The only thing I can give it credit for is that detective kim is a great character, doesn’t really follow the irritating stereotypes that you often see in these types of stories. Needless to say, omegaverse sucks and perpetuates misogynistic and rape culture, but I’ll keep reading this anyway because I like the mc lol
the bar is low to be impressed, but I like that there’s actual attention given to the plot. I’m not at all impressed by the relationship itself, it seems absurd that Taeui is at most irritated that he is being sexually assaulted on the regular. It feels like it’s passed off as comedic relief at times. I liked the moment in which he was sincerely angry and slapped Ilay, but ever since then, his anger is often (not always) passed off. It looks like this story passes off a lot of serious things, such as murder, lmao. I’m supposed to swallow that Ilay kills people often with essentially no consequence or remorse, and Taeui apparently doesn’t care much, apart from remarking that he’s psycho. This story is oversaturated with cannon fodder, so much so that a reader becomes desensitized to death. How on earth are we supposed to take murder seriously, in that regard? That being said, I enjoyed it anyway, despite the character philosophies being a bit ridiculous, because anyone in Taeui’s position has more than enough cause to hate Ilay. His resistance is halfhearted, which sucks. It’s good in terms of production (I like how Jaeui haunts the narrative), but the characters themselves are honestly impossible to believe. Ilay feels more like a caricature than a person. Idk I just hope Taeui beats the shit out of him at some point lol
somehow feels spectacularly unromantic with zero chemistry whatsoever. What happened to love interests being likeable bro. Boredom alert indeed
I’m not hating if you enjoyed this, but it’s getting annoying with how many stories will take meaningful classical myths and bastardize them into what is essentially porn. Need more things inspired by Greek mythology that actually care about representing the value of the story, instead of just using it as a poor context for porn. Again I’m not yucking anyone’s yum I just wish there wasn’t porn in the first three chapters at least ykwim
Interesting that the suggestion “the author may be oversaturating the story with trauma” is received as “you just have no media literacy.” There is a very fine line between realism and fetishism. It’s worth pointing out that there are some things in the story that feel less like realism and more orchestrated to achieve maximum pathos, lol. This is not to say it’s bad (I’ve personally had enough of it, but that’s just me), but it’s not completely unreasonable to say that jiho has unlikeable qualities. Obviously his character is reflective of his past abuse, and you can emphasize with that, but forgiving all of a character’s behaviour/actions because they are results of trauma is a slippery slope. It is not a moral high ground to defend jiho with your life, and nor is it nuanced to say that he deserves what he gets. Trauma can make bad people. Before anyone says I have no media literacy please be informed I have a masters in English literature
