What's the dumbest way you've fucked up while cooking/baking?
I was kinda upset, and I started baking. But I fucked up and ended up with cookies that look perfect but taste like soap; now I'm even more upset. Tell me about your fuck ups so I'd feel less stupid WAAAAH
Here's what I made
It's supposed to be vanilla cookie with caramel on top. It looks okay, but the taste is awful ╥﹏╥
I forgot that I needed to add something acidic to neutralize the baking soda, so now the cookie tastes like a bar of soap. (I didn't have baking powder, you don't need to neutralize that because it already contains cream of tar...... reply
