un-romanticizing mental illness.
What's something that people judge mentally ill people for all the time despite "understanding mental illness and health"?
I feel like people judged way too harshly when people relapse or fall back into bad coping skills, especially if they been dealing with them for a long time.
Being hypersexual as a trauma response
People are always so quick to judge and demonize* others for being "promiscuous" and constantly being sexual with others, especially unsafely, maybe even the ones who end up in sex work, without having an ounce of empathy as to why

And it’s not really a romanticization but I literally saw a video on TikTok with a slidesh...... reply

Not really a mental illness, but I've noticed a lot of autism activism focuses on the most high functioning people imaginable. Obviously these people also need support and are also discriminated against, but when RFK Jr. is talking about how autism is ruining people's lives, he isn't talking about that eight year old who knows a lot of trains, but ...... reply
psych student here and what i have noticed is that people don't believe that stress can affect your mind and your body. some people thought that stressing over something is a normal thing and it won't affect you, but it will. that's why if you're stressing about something it would be better if you stop it or take breaks so you won't overwhelm yours...... reply
