Step 1 would be trying to figure out which skills are in demand in the sector you'd like to work in to get a somewhat stable employment situation and, put yourself in a favourable work trajectory.

I can't help you much with the safety questions as I am not a woman, and for sure there are others with more relevant advice to give you on that. However money management is something I do know quite a bit about.

I've been living alone for about 3 years now, just turned 21 last month. and the first year was probably the worst lifestyle. I ate maybe once every 3 days, I didnt sleep at all (a few hours between my shifts and lecture), and I when I had free time I rotted in bed and indulged in reading/watching.
