Should straight men be allowed to play roles of queer characters?
As always when a new bl series begins trending the topic whether it's fair or not for straight men to get the roles of gay characters gets brought up. Given now that heated rivalry has been out people have been attacking the actors with claims of "Queer baiting" and that an openly gay man should've gotten the role rather than the current actors.
Yes, they should be allowed. However, it should end there. Acting gay on stream or on the street to bait you fans is wild. Don't get surprised when you get shit for it. I'm so tired of people ignoring the big issue here and latching onto stuff that doesn't make sense. Of course, straight men acting as gay characters in a TV show is fine; the issue...... reply
