Idk how to lose weight
I'm 167cm and 65kg, my goal is to reach 50-55kg first but everytime i try to lose weight i always get unmotivated to exercise, I try to get motivated to exercise but everytime i do it i always failed and do the "I'll do it next time" thingy. Also I'm asian and my weight is already considered fat here, the ideal weight for 167cm is 45-50kg. I can do the healthy eating but exercise... i always failed at it. Can someone tell me how to get motivated or is that something i should just deal it with myself
I'm 158cm, start weight was around 60kg and now I'm 50kg after a year.
First 6 months I didn't exercise at all, I just changed the diet and lost the first 5kg. Not eating meat helps a lot ( I'm vegetarian btw) and reducing diary is another great thing. Of course eat salad and spend lots of time to learn some nice meals you can do cause salad can ge...... reply
One thing. Please, please don't go for the "ideal Asian weight" as it would make you severely underweight, anorexic even. And I've checked your BMI, you're still in the healthy "normal weight" range. You can try burning off some fat by eating healthy and exercising (do something that is fun for you, if you don't like standard workout routines, find...... reply
Really really want to say this but the weight most asians aim for are considered to be UNHEALTHY!! In my opinion, I really absolutely don’t care about the weight, I would much rather be FITTER, instead of skinnier, bc if you worked out a lot, you would gain muscle and muscle is denser than fat, so technically you can look skinnier but weigh the s...... 2 reply
yeah im agreeing with everyone else here you shouldn't be aspiring for some "ideal" weight. forget about the number on the scale and focus on improving your body so that you feel healthy and happy.
motivation for exercise, i would probably suggest to have long term and small term goals. decide what you ultimately want to achieve. and to get there...... 3 reply
I understand the Asian culture is very image/body conscious and even has regulations in place regarding weight. So when many here say not to worry, I can see it may be difficult for you. While I agree with the many words of encouragement I also understand not everyone aims to be the new beacon for change and may just want to get by and be accepte...... reply
