So im in my pre university phase rn, and im new to actually sitting down and studying.. there's so much more to study than ever before and i have school for like 12 hours, worst thing is i have to come home and study still cause i didn't understand shit in the lectures. TT
Take physical notes when possible in lecture. Or study by handwriting the class notes you took on your computer. Writing notes from lecture is good for base knowledge but if you want to make it stick, reflect on the content. Paraphrase or summarize in your own words and try to make connections. i handwrite all of my notes and i hate myself for it because although it is HELLA effective when it comes to my learning and remembering information, my god is it time consuming.
my advice is to stay at uni during the day and go to a library to do your study and consolidation - because for me at least, once i'm home i want to do anything but touch ...... reply
read. read. read. read. read. read. then HAND write your notes. find applied examples. find or create a problem/challenge, then apply the knowledge or formula to solve it. repeat till you fully comprehend it & youre able to teach it to someone else reply
I try to be consistent to do it everyday but being a user on this site can tell you that I don't do shit. As a person who did have 11 hrs of school (thank god I left) best advice is to utilize your time at school and try to read even a little bit everyday so you don't have backlogs

I'll go through what I have to know for the exam and take notes with color and diagrams. If it's more of a comprehension thing, I'll then write the notes all over again on a different paper from memory and highlight what I got wrong along with the correct information. Then I'll try to check that once or twice before the exam, focusing on what I got...... reply
If you can't understand the lecture, briefly read the subject in advance so you already have an idea of what is going to be lectured .
Also, try to sleep at least 8 hours, the brain has to rest. Try to also lay your head down between study sections (I used to do like 3 sets 25 min study-5 minutes 'sleep'- extracurricular for 2 hours - repeat study...... reply
i used to do most of my studying and "homework" in class or the uni library and revise during commute (bus) bc there's no way i'd be able to study after coming home all exhausted and shit. it's worse when there's assignment (esp grp assignments, fuck them!), bc then i'd barely have any time for myself. i just put up with it bc most jobs require a d...... reply
My job requires me to train people for the job, so my first go to question is do you in your honest opinion know your learning style.. here is the thing, i can tell you how i study, but that might not work for you so that doesnt help you..
