What’s your least favorite trope in BL?
My least favorite trope is when the ml only likes the mc because he was a reincarnation of a past lover, I dislike this trope because it feels like the ml only loves mc for who they were, not who they are. Also, it’s always the central plot and creates a lot of unnecessary conflict.
infantilism; or that the male lead will always be stoic and put the main character under threat because they were raised in a tragic backstory. this goes for HET too reply
My younger self wouldn't believe I say this, but it's mafia. I mean when they openly say "he's a mafia boss" or something like that. Sorry, I know there are some great ones involving mafia but it's a bit cringe for me for now. My least favorite is that grooming shit. When the ml watches the mc grow up, then start having feelings for them when they of age shits weird. Also major size differences, like why the ml gotta be 7 ft tall with a 12 inch dick messing with a guy that's 5'3 or sum shit with a 3 inch? Since the obvious ones are taken, mine is when the ml gets obsessed with mc for no reason at all, or for superficial reasons such as their looks or scent (in omegaverse). I see this a lot in guideverse bl and it really annoys me cuz it feels so fake.
