if it's already packaged and sealed from the supermarket I don't wash it cuz they already do that. but if it's from the wet market I'm washing it as soon as I got home. wash it once, then pour a bit of vinegar and leave it alone for a few minutes before washing it again before storing/cooking   reply

Hold both wings and lay the chicken down. Give a good swing and chop the head off- Ideally on the first swing. Hang it upside down and let the blood drain out. Pluck off its feather. Chop off the feet- pull out the innards and wash it. Now you can cut the wings, thighs back and breast. Wash again with water- and depending on how you like your chick......   reply

You shouldn't wash raw chicken, doing so actually spreads all the bacteria in your sink and besides, water doesn't remove bacteria, but cooking your chicken usually does.
