Do you guys sometimes not mind something you like getting justifiable hate?

In Sunnyside Daycare Classmates, there's a character called Charin and I like him, but I find I don't mind him getting hated on by readers or whoever because of what he did to the MC for years. I like him, feel sorry for him, thought about a lot of things because of him and don't have anything against him myself, but I wouldn't mind if he gets hate, was crucified or whatever and I would honestly revel in it. I genuinely like Charin but I genuinely as well wouldn't mind if his guts were heavily despised, and that being something his character has to bear. I LIKE that it has to be something his character has to bear. I think it's very fun, that's why I would revel in him getting hate. Idk why I like it.

Anyone else ever got this feeling?
