What makes a story “well written”?
What actually makes a story “well written” to you? I’ll read something that’s objectively kinda messy, but something about it still allures me and I rate it high, even when other people write it off as bad. So what’s your bar for well written? And if a story isn’t well written, why does it still pull you in anyway?
I think the first thing that catches my attention is the characters. Good stories always make their characters feel like real people. Even if I hate what they do, their actions still have to make sense to me. I especially hate isekai stories because most of them are so stupid that I have to turn my brain off to read them.
