I will never understand as to why some people use the logic "oh but horror fans love serial killers" Yeah for how scary they are usually. Not to mention most of these serial killers aren't even realistic, because they cannot be killed somehow. Not to mention, the authors write them in a way to scare you and hate them. Whereas with dark romance, you'd see it be glorified and by glorified, is somehow the lead is gonna be redeemable at the end of the story. Despite them coercing the mc previously in chapters. Like why we trynna do Stockholm Syndrome??

These two genres are completely different, and therefore not a "proof" That your toxic ass series isn't affecting society when it quite does.

So I basically am someone who kinda lost my spark and has become dulled. It's fine I'm moving out next year and i hope college will fix me.But I used to have a big friend group till 10th grade and it was amazing but everyone moved out for highschool. We live in a small town so this is common. I still had my best friend till 11th grade and some of my close friends from 10th and i was still very social and bubbly and being with my bedtime gave me that confidence. Now in 12th it's gotten even silent. Guys are in a majority and there's less than 10 girls in our class. I have this old friend that I sit with , but she's extremely social and extroverted but I'm complete opposite , she is also manipulative and smart. She has this other friend that has a lot in common with her and go to the same after school academy. They keep sticking to eo and i only am prioritised when she feels like it. Attendance isn't very imp so I barely go but it's exhausting even when I do. I have friends in other classes and its fun talking to them and even some teachers but today was so shitty that friend and the other one had to go for a event and were both gone the entire day, i practically spent it alone expect joint classes with the other ones where I had friends or lunch (I had a partner by chance bcs even that friend has council activities). Everyone else is laughing , having fun and sharing jokes and I'm just there lonely and silent it sucks. This other girl in the same situation doesn't feel the same since she's so extroverted and loud. I don't wanna change my personality but just want reassurance that this is ok and normal. I just felt pathetic.
