Only one friend of mine and my cousin. I became a fujoshi because of this one friend actually. She was reading boyxboy fanfic and I spotted it so I became curious of boyxboy story haha. And my cousin is very understanding. The rest of my family are very religious. I bet they'd die of heart attack if they discover I'm a fujoshi lol 1 reply
I once chanced upon a "fujoshi in disguise" in uni, and told her I read manga without specifying the genre until she went (insert squinty creepy eyes) "y-a.....?" Our friendship however was short-lived as she chose to drop out. All of my close friends have absolutely no clue that I die for yaoi. I tell them I read manga but they don't ask me the ge...... 1 reply

Definitely back in high school my friends knew I read yaoi...because a lot of them were reading it as well. I'm pretty sure my brother knows that I like yaoi, however I have never asked him, nor talk about it with him.
I keep this part of myself pretty separate from my "public" life, settling for reading it online and posting fanfiction.

30 here (old lady, I know.)
Here are a few key ideals I wish I had followed a lot earlier:
- it's okay to like what you like. Do your friends think its dorky or lame? Who cares, if you like it, own it.
- if the people around you don't accept you or your interests, find a new circle. Don't be afraid to branch out and search for people with common i...... 4 reply
If you really enjoy what you are doing now i would stick with that. Its so many peoples dream to travel the world doing what they love or even just like. I remember when I had to choose where to go career wise and I was reminded that nothing is set in stone and you are allowed to change your mind.
Seems to me that you should do what you are doing ...... 2 reply
Hey there. So I've been thinking about what to do in the future, that whole what is the job you want to do until you die pressure you get since who knows when. Now, I seem to find myself at a crossroad. I already finished my Bachelor's degree but this career path requires me to get my Masters (a least), but then I got stressed out and ran away to teach overseas (now enjoying life in Korea).
Thinking about my next steps, I'm just not sure if I should go back and finish what I started, or go back and get a different degree and change my career path, or just keep floating around the world teaching English wherever the wind blows me.
So I'm just looking to hear from other people who've also been uncertain about their future careers and what they've done about it.
Thank you for taking the time to read and/or respond!

I started reading manga around 2013, and I think since then I've read at least 400 manga (based on my list on KissManga and Mangago) Edit: Wait I'm not sure if the ones from Webtoons and Webcomics count, but if they do they add another 300+ at least :X LOL reply
Well I managed to read about 1000 on here that's mostly BL only though doesn't count all the non BL or Manga I've read on other sites before I got to this site 1 reply
Quit my job, leave the country, and go somewhere where no one can find me. I've always wanted to run away from my problems, be irresponsible, and selfish like that but I never do it because I'm the complete opposite and that doesn't solve anything. But if I'm dying, who cares anymore? reply
'Things' are your daily life experiences by which you get to know the world around you. Tell others about the things you did, may it be cool, sad, crazy or funny. You can also find things that you might want to do and a friend to do it with!
