I went back to read the previous season, because I hated what season 5 was doing and I wanted to remind myself of the good times..... You guys, the last chapter of the last season ends with Taesung treating Haebom roughly and literally asking himself "how is this any different from rape"? I hate to say it, but I think the seeds for the nonsense that is season 5 were always there. The author didn't have to go ahead and plant them and continue to ruin the story, but I think it's clear that they've wanted to for a while.
I truly don't want anything bad to happen to our boys, but unfortunately, I do think something dangerous/tragic is going to have to happen to Seo Eunseong in order for Lee Taegun to get over this depressing hangup he's got over their relationship, in a "don't know what you've got 'til it's gone" sort of way. I'm not happy about it, but I don't see anything else getting through to him. With all that being said, Kang Jaeha, serve your role to the story and then gtfo of here!
Absolutely not. I was reading the last chapter, thinking how sad I was that she had passed, especially after how much trouble her terrible father caused when it didn't even matter in the end because she died, but also that I kind of respected the mangaka for committing to a sad ending, and then the last couple of pages hit me. What the actual fuck? Not only does it not make any goddamn sense, but it's also literally the least satisfying thing that could have ever happened. Why??? Why do this??? Did the mangaka hate their story? Their editors?? Their fans??? What the hell????
Welp. This is not where I saw the story going at all. I mean, was the fact that Yuto is a little calculating and possessive not enough?? I was definitely excited about it. Why throw in some crazy nonsense twist (that really should have been foreshadowed by previous chapters if it was always the plan to include it)? I don't even think it's a bad story beat necessarily. I'm just frustrated because I felt like the story was pretty grounded and realistic and now it almost feels like a soap opera or something.
I feel the same way. I really liked the beginning of the story - FL struggling to keep up with her family's expectations, the controlling and abusive household of parents/grandparents taking advantage of their younger generation. I really wished the story remained in showing FL's journey in overcoming this and living a life of her own...only for it to derail completely from this and focus on the ML's obsession(?) with her. It's really such a shame since many readers could relate to FL and her family dynamics.
Going off what I'm hearing about from novel spoilers, I'm going to be needing you all in the comments to step up to the plate and give some warnings for SA chapters. I don't want to drop this completely because I want to know the answers to the mysteries, but it will destroy me to see Sylhan be tortured by that disgusting bastard Lister. Help a fellow reader out if you can!

I suppose I always knew that this was going to have a bittersweet ending, but it felt more bitter than sweet. I'm sad and disappointed but only because I wanted happier endings for the characters and not because I thought the ending was bad. Actually, I felt the ending was very good and fitting, and I think the author did a phenomenal job writing this whole story. But still, I'm sad.
